This week sure has been a quite one for Ninty. Early prepping for TGS maybe? At any rate, there are still a few tidbits to be read in this week's recap, the biggest being Shia LeBeouf's anti-Wii comments that may have lost him a few fans and earned him a lot of flames. Tingle is a Nintendo character first introduced in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. As a 35-year-old bachelor who loves wearing green full-body tights, he's -- to put it mildly -- weird. It's like people either hate him or love him. No middle ground. He's also starring in two new games.

Nintendo's most recent financial report has revealed part of the company's release lineup for the next few months. Frontrunners include the Wii MotionPlus-powered Wii Sports Resort and, of course, The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Note that these titles are first-party only. Also, this list is far from definitive, so watch out for more Nintendo announcements during E3.

Nintendo disappointed a lot of core gamers at last year's E3 after it didn't announce any new Zelda or Mario game. This year, the company plans to make up for it. Talking to GameTrailers, Nintendo of America chief Reggie Fils-Aime said that they will do a "much better job" at E3 2009.

At the ongoing GDC, Nintendo prez Iwata announced that the Wii is the fastest-selling game console in history. But who cares about that. You'll care more about the new Zelda game, as well as the firmware update that they issued as an answer to the Wii storage problem.

It's been another week, and it seems like life in the Nintendo blogs has picked up a little. Leading this week's charge is the Wii's share of the Resident Evil fever - The Darkside Chronicles, plus rumors of Code Veronica getting a Wii-make. Fancy a nice RPG for your DS? Developer MEZ brings us his version of The Legend of Hyrule, based on the popular series by Nintendo. It's on Alpha 1, so don't be surprised if a few bugs come along here and there. But so far, the game's looking solid as it is. Try it out.
