E3 2008: Wii and DS News - Mario and Zelda games from Nintendo - Image 1Ok, honestly, I felt that Ninty's press conference at E3 felt a little... lacking. Oh sure, the new Wii Speak peripheral and new details on Wii Music got me hyped, but still, something was missing. Two words. Mario. Zelda. At the event, Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata commented that there are indeed Mario and Zelda projects in the works, but chose not to elaborate. The man Shigeru Miyamoto though, was a bit more accommodating. More after the link!

Japanese video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto - Image 1Shigeru Miyamoto, the veritable father of modern gaming, revealed in a recent interview with Famitsu some of the Nintendo's future plans for its next-gen gaming platforms. He discussed the possibility of future titles using the Wii Fit's Balance Board peripheral, more sequels of Nintendo's successful past titles, and the new features that the DS handheld will be sporting in the coming year.
