OK, DSiWare patrons. Nintendo has announced the new titles available for download from their DSiWare service. This week we get three new titles -- two games and a camera app.

We've got a bunch of mystery games for you this Halloween week, as well as another one from the blood-curdling line of Ubisoft's Imagine titles, this time with Imagine Babyz Fashion. Headlining the line-up though would be Jak & Dexter for the PSP, the multi-platformer Lego Rock Band, and the new Need for Speed offering for handhelds, NFS: Nitro. We have a rather sizeable haul of new games this week. If there's any publisher out there right now that comes to mind with the word, "Assassin," it's Ubisoft, referring of course to its Assassin's Creed franchise. Interestingly enough, the publisher was spotted filing for a trademark for the word, and seeing as they already have ones for Assassin's Creed, it's time for another guessing game as to what this one is for.

Prince of Persia creator Jordan Mechner is ready to dive right into another Prince of Persia game again, if a new trademark filing is any indication.

Thanks to an announcement from Ubisoft, we now know where to always find Waldo - right in North American retailers' shelves. The publisher has developed a game based on the elusive red-striped character bent on killing time via meticulous eye work. Since he's in a game now, you bet he'll have more ways to hide, and you'll have more ways to look for him.

Bad week for Nintendo. Not only did their Wii price cut fail to send those numbers flying, but they even coughed out a System Update from gaming hell. Early this week, those who updated their Nintendo Wii got a rather unpleasant surprise. The update, which deletes homebrew, also left a lot of bricked Wiis in its wake. Realizing it was their fault, Nintendo is quick to try and remedy the situation by giving free repairs. Catch the whole story and more right here.

The DS may still be selling like hotcakes, as evidenced by its consistent chart-topping numbers, but truth of the matter is, it isn't as recession-proof as it may seem. Ubisoft is making their opinion known that yes, the DS market definitely has been on the downturn for the year 2009.

I don't know why Ubisoft chose to go with a slow trickle approach instead of a one-time splash, but Ezio is creeping onto almost every major gaming console, both home and handheld. Today, they announced that their boy Ezio is also heading to the Nintendo DS by way of Assassin's Creed 2: Discovery from developer Griptonite Games.

The claws are out -- and from Apple, wouldn't you know! Phil Schiller, Apple's marketing VP main man, is calling out the PSP and the DS, handheld gadgets from Sony and Nintendo respectively, for being overpriced. And not being cool anymore. Kssshhh...
