On Shelves This Week - Image 1Last week's batch may be a tough act to follow, but this week holds its own, bidding for your buck. The Call of Juarez prequel Bound in Blood (PS3, Xbox 360 and PC) is out now if you want a mean FPS. You can also give Infernal: Hell's Vengeance a look if the McCall brothers aren't mean enough for you. Be sure to check out the week's releases on this edition of On Shelves This Week.

On Shelves This Week - Image 1This is a much, much better line-up for our On Shelves section this week. As in MUCH. One, the Transformers are finally rolling out (unfortch, Megan Fox won't be included in your game purchase). Two, Fight Night Round 4 is also stepping into the ring to knock you out with. Three, The Conduit is also set to make waves on your Wii, and so is the Resident Evil Archives. And of course, the ever-present DS games for the kids. Yes, it doesn't just stop at three. Go ahead, check out what else is there this week.

Prince of Persia - Image 1It's not everyday that we get fresh film footage for the up and coming film adaptation of Ubisoft's Prince of Persia video game, that's why we're leaning more towards welcoming this video interview with Jerry Bruckheimer, that also brings some sneak peek of the movie in development.

QuickJump QuickPeek - Image 1Can you feel the buzz now? We're definitely gearing up for E3. To be honest, I don't think we've ever been this excited about the E3. It just feels so wonderful to get that zing on once more, especially after the really, really, really tough past year for the gaming community. Good thing the industry continues to trudge along, making sure that our entertainment is their number one priority. And as you are our priority here at QJ, here's another week of recapped goodies for you, via our 71st edition of QJ QuickPeek.

Nintendo Weekend Warrior - Image 1It's that time of the week again, so here's your week's recap of all things Nintendo. This batch is a little heavy on the Wiixclusives, starting with Final Fantasy IV: The After Years stirring up quite a buzz with its multiplayer support and rumored June 1 release. There's also a lot of buzz surrounding the latest Time 100 list, which apparently got hacked to spell out a message. Now we're not quite sure if the rest of that list actually means something, or if we just have a list full of random names. Anyway, we've got updated emulators in the bunch too, so be sure to check out this week's Nintendo Weekend Warrior.

Amazing Race - Image 1I've always wanted to join the Amazing Race, and this is probably the closest chance I'll ever get. Ludia Inc. has announced that they got the rights to develop CBS' reality TV show as a video game across multiple (but still unspecified) platforms. Sounds like they're going to go for some LBP-type of co-op gameplay with a partner.

So, any one of you want to pair up with me for the race? Dude, move it, let's go!

ds homebrewFor a time, I busied myself with Ubisoft's language coach games on the DS - namely My French Coach and Spanish Coach - mainly to brush up on my multi-lingual skills. But if you want something to help you with Latin (and by gods, have I always wanted to learn Latin!), you'd have to go the homebrew route, and that's possible now, care of Todd Jeffrey's DSLatin application. Veni, veni, venias, ne me mori facias... Sephiroth!

Bigger army! - Image 1While other publishers are sacking people left and right, Koei is apparently in good spirits and is in gear to move forward. Edge reports that Koei is gonna double the manpower in their Singapore studio to strengthen the Koei titles. More Dynasty titles perhaps?
