The Biggest Loser for the DS and Wii is now out, thanks to Blitz Games and THQ. The famous TV show that advocates a healthier lifestyle in both mind and body have come to the Nintendo platforms to bring some more healthy goodness for the gamers.

We have a rather sizeable haul of new games this week. The cream of the crop includes such titles as Tekken 6, DJ Hero, Forza Motorsport 3, Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, and that undying (not undead -- no, that would actually be cool) Petz series. Amidst the usual barrage of less-than-note-worthy DS titles, this week's big release is the sequel to the 2001 FPS Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Hitler's got the usual evil army, and it's gonna be up to you to infiltrate and beat them from the inside. Following the success of the UFC 2009: Undisputed in the PS3 and Xbox 360, THQ is now moving to bring mixed martial arts into the Wii and the handhelds. Having shifted nearly three million copies, the publisher is now considering expanding into more platforms and even yearly installments like all the other sports titles.

First details of the upcoming WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 video game has apparently been posted by THQ on their French website earlier this week. Among the juicy details scooped by gaming site Ve3tro reveals that for the first time, the game will feature an online Royal Rumble mode,  a complete overhaul to the ‘Road to Wrestlemania’ mode and many more.

When license agreements turn sour, you know what's coming next. For World Wrestling Entertainment, THQ, and Jakks Pacific, the result is a Triple Threat matchup between the three companies, jockeying for position over the WWE Smackdown vs. Raw franchise.

Coming soon to the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PSP, and DS is WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 with the announcement made by THQ at E3 earlier. THQ's widely popular WWE SmackDown vs. Raw franchise lives on in another title so WWE fans can continue bringing some real pain to the fictional superstars of the game.

This week is heavy on the Wii. We've got publishers and first party devs all looking to pack more games for the Wii. There's Bethesda and their big plan, XSEED and their Ju-on game, some from Capcom, and even a dead rumor rises from the grave to come to the Wii. To cut a long story short, the Nintendo Wii is gonna get swarmed by new games in 2009. Meetings with investors for an earnings call is probably one of the most unlikely places to get word on upcoming games. But that's what we got right here exactly. Word's out that THQ is hoping to release the next installment in the Smackdown vs. Raw franchise sometime later this year, this according to execs who attended that meeting.

It's no secret that publisher THQ is having some financial troubles, especially with the US$ 192 million loss that they reported last month. It looks like things haven't really picked up yet, too, and now the company is planning to close down one of its studios and turning another two into independent studios.
