A settlement's finally been reached between the disgruntled Team Ninja members and Tecmo. The lawsuit filed last July was on the issue of unpaid overtime work under flexible working hours. Details after the jump.

That was a quick resolution. Unlike other acquisition stories that we know of, Tecmo and Square Enix have already settled the score. Unfortunately for Squeenix, Tecmo hearts Koei more, and so takes the gentlemanly way out.

Well, Tecmo's certainly had some time to think about the friendly takeover offer given by Square Enix. Kotaku reports, however, that Tecmo's rejected Square Enix's offer, opting to try and merge with Koei instead. More on this in the full article.

There's life after Itagaki. Team Ninja is still very much alive, even with Tomonobu Itagaki's departure. In fact, Tecmo's announced that they'll be bringing three new titles that are currently being worked on by Team Ninja to the TGS 2008 show floor! Will they be Ninja Gaiden or Dead or Alive titles, or new IPs? Who knows... TGS, here we come!

More incoming on the Square Enix - Tecmo talks. Square Enix recently sent out a statement explaining what they're willing to give for Tecmo. According to their recent statement, Square Enix is willing to pay a premium for controlling interest in Tecmo. Find out more after the jump!

Tecmo's unquestionably in a bubbling tub of hot water the past couple of months, but could their luck be changing? Square Enix has revealed earlier that they have a proposal for a friendly takeover on the beleaguered developer.

Following numerous trials and tribulations (probably because of a certain rock star developer we might all know - cough*Itagaki*cough), Yoshimi Yasuda has now resigned from Tecmo. Details of his resignation weren't revealed, but the only thing we could get is that he's bidding farewell to the company for "personal reasons".

Tomonobu Itagaki has come to the second hearing of his lawsuit against Tecmo with guns ablazin'. He served up two chunks of evidence to support his case and force Tecmo's hand to pay him what he calls unpaid wages and bonuses. More in the full article up next.

The NPD Group has released its report for the month of June and the sales figures are in on the top hardware and software performers of the past 30 days. This has been a big month for the PlayStation 3, but Nintendo's DS and Wii combo is still on top. Details in the full article up ahead.
