Looking at the brief gameplay clip, it's certainly clear that the DS version sports the same visual theme, with our scarf-wearing hero still in his dashing silhouette-like form. The stages are deceptively simple-looking, as we all know that getting through some of them can take a lot of retries. Definitely a great addition to the Nintendo Dual Screen's library of puzzle games! Embed's below, you know what to do. Enjoy! |

All the major gaming companies just can't wait to show their stuff at this year's Tokyo Game Show, and Taito is no exception. Seeing the popularity of the DS in the Japanese gaming market, they decided to go for broke and concentrate their entire line-up of games on Nintendo's marvelous little handheld.Throwing in a mix of sequels, old-school remakes and some brand spanking new hat tricks, Taito's line-up includes: Cooking Mama 2: Cooking with Friends, Exit DS, Arkanoid DS (along with its special paddle controller), The Legend of Kage 2, Pet Shop Monogatari DS, and Space Invaders Extreme. Older gamers will definitely enjoy the nostalgic feel their remakes deliver after finally stepping up after all these years in gaming hibernation. Those unfortunate enough to remain landlocked, however, will have to wait for those games to arrive on your respective shores. |

Majesco Entertainment has already hit it big with Cooking Mama for the Nintendo DS, but Nollenberger Capital Partners analyst Tom Greenwald thinks that this is just the start of something big. Greenwald also stated that Majesco securing Cooking Mama 2: Dinner With Friends is a "big win" for the company."Cooking Mama 2 was likely a competitive bid, and it is impressive that Majesco secured it as it was probably going up against much larger players," said Greenwald. "It shows the value of the strong relationships Majesco has with numerous Japanese developers and publishers like Office Create and Taito." Greenwald also suggested that the Cooking Mama games are just the tip of the iceberg. "We believe there is a wealth of casual game content that is not being fully exploited on all platforms, which represents an opportunity for Majesco on the DS and Wii over the next 12-18 months," said Greenwald. Greenwald noted further that Majesco may also be in negotiations with Sandlot Games for the DS rights to Cake Mania 2. |

Arkanoid has hit the DS with another incarnation, and this time it's bringing along a peripheral! Taito has developed a controller fitted with a knob that controls the game's paddle. The peripheral is one of the first to take advantage of the Nintendo DS's GBA slot. Nintendo Japan has also recently announced a platform motion sensor for an upcoming game. The arkanoid controller was modeled after the original controller way back when during the days of the NES. The game and the controller will be available for purchase individually or bundled together in Japan on December 6. The bundle will cost JPY 5,040 (US$ 42) and the game by itself will cost JPY 3,990 (US$ 33.) |
