DS - Image 1It looks like Nintendo is readying the next generation of DS  with the help of nVidia. According to reports from Bright Side of News, the company has already started to work on the next iteration of the handheld gaming console that will debut sometime next year.

Games retail store - Image 1This sounds grim. Speakers at the upcoming London Games Conference are forecasting that in three years' time, retail would have been outstripped by digital distribution. Not only that, but 40% of the companies in the games industry will be caught unprepared for this shift in consumer choice.

Nintendo Weekend Warrior - Image 1"Price cut" seems like the console mantra for months now, putting the pressure on major players in the industry to take a bit off their hardware price to stay competitive. Nintendo, so it seems, remains adamant about not lowering the Wii price, despite five months of sales decline, possibly going six. If Nintendo won't, then the retailers may be taking matters into their own hands, with rumors of price cuts surfacing anew.
