Aside from his main projects, DS homebrew developer hillbilly likes to make some small ones for fun. That's where DS MediaCenter comes in, although there's nothing small and casual about this project - it's a full-fledged movie player and launcher with a lot of potential, and hillbilly is definitely no hill-billy for being able to come up with something like this.

Woopsi is a handy dandy GUI library made by Antony Dzeryn for those who want to make their own Nintendo DS homebrew. According to the dev, the interface here is modeled after the AmigaOS windowing system. You can check out the changelog for this release along with some screenshots in the full article.

strata8's last release of Parallel Worlds was Alpha 3. Since then, Alpha 4 and 5 were unofficial releases to the guys at the PAlib IRC channel. For the next release, it's gonna be v0.1 final. But before we think ahead for that version, let's look at today's changelog.

Just like alanceil's Leveltool for the Wii, Bootlegger came up with NDSpiritLevel, although this homebrew was inspired by a similar app on the HTC Diamond phone. Now at v1.0, Bootlegger reckons this may be the final release, unless of course someone finds a bug or notifies him that the DSerial isn't working properly. Care to try it out?

Right next to Karakh's release of his DS homebrew for Minesweeper comes LightSout. This would be his first attempt at PAlib, which actually turned out better than he expected, finally replacing Tetris as his "bathroom" game.

I just love playing Minesweeper, especially towards the end, when you'd have to take a leap of faith while guessing which block doesn't have a bomb under it.
