One of the highly anticipated titles from last year was Chronos Twin. The platformer title hasn't gotten much media exposure for the past year, so much so that a lot of people thought that it was nothing but vaporware. Fortunately, it's not after all. Oxygen Games has finally tapped the press wire with a fact sheet for their original IP, right in time for its eventual street date on October 12. Here's what we can expect:

they're hoping the highly acclaimed titles will also do well in PAL

Video game title King of Clubs is one of the more elusive titles out there. Elusive in the sense that Oxygen Games has been quite mum about its gameplay and background story. All we know right now is that it involves a theme park somewhere down Route 66 in virtual Nevada.Basically, it's a puzzle game with Oxygen now claiming that it'll be focusing more in the game of golf. To be able to complete a variety of puzzles across five themes on more than 95 holes, players must collect, unlock, buy, and hire rewards. These then will be used to build up equipments (in your own theme park perhaps?) and skills. "We've managed to take the mental challenge traditionally associated with puzzle games, and create a fresh, really quirky social experience that's perfect for the way people play games today," commented Oxygen Interactive Publishing Director Kevin Hassall. Each level has a boss whom players must defeat in order to advance. Of course, the culmination of the game is your ultimate showdown with Big Bubba himself. King of Clubs will also be offering multiple game modes and the choice of matchplay or stroke play for up to four players. This can be played using either a multi-tap or sharing two controllers. King of Clubs will be available this coming August on platforms Games for Windows (PC), Wii, PlayStation Portable (PSP), DS, and PlayStation 2 (PS2). |

Once upon a time, when Ms. Pac-Man and Galaxian ruled ye olde arcade taverns, one force dared to stand against the invasion of electronic games: Pinball machines.
Too bad all the flashing lights, bells and whistles of the best pinball tables couldn't stop the dawning of entertainment's new age and is now only thriving as a small application in Windows. That doesn't mean pinball is dead, though. Oxygen Games is bringing the classic to the Nintendo DS with Powershot Pinball Construction. Here are some screens: The game seeks to add a new twist to the blast from the past with the innovative controls of the DS. The graphics are looking ready to deliver nostalgia and may even spark a new interest from today's kids. The screenshots look nice, though it would take a lot more than eye candy to get this offering past expectations. |

New screenshots for the game King of Clubs have been released, and they are looking good. Oxygen Games, the game's developer, has labeled the game "a fun and engaging trick-based action puzzle game". Yeah, sure, but it doesn't really give any clues on what it's really about. The premise is simple, down Route 66 is Nevada, where you will have to put up a big money-making tourist spot. Yup, it's a theme park building game, and they added multiplayer into the mix, which should make for interesting matches. In our previous coverage, we already mentioned that the game will have 96 levels and 10 multi-level stages. King of Clubs is slated to be released for the Wii, PlayStation 2, PC, PlayStation Portable, and Nintendo DS within the year. It will retail at Ł 24.99 (about US$ 49.00) for all formats. Check out the screenshots and see if King of Clubs appeals to you. More screenshots follow after the jump. |

Big Bubba, from King of Clubs is back, and we finally get to see him in all his chain-wearing, Elvis-impersonating 3D glory. In this trailer that has recently been released by Oxygen Games, Big Bubba himself tells us the secrets to his success. And yes, that secret involves cyanide-laced toothbrushes and the like, so you might want to listen up.
Bound to be released on the PSP, the PS2, DS, Wii, and PC, King of Clubs is a "trick-based action puzzle game" which features a vintage Americana feel, as well as a kooky multiplayer mode which should make the players give out a chuckle or two. With 96 levels, 10 multi-level stages as well as bonus areas, this game offers hours of fun. On top of that, players will also get the chance to test their tycoon skills, and see if they can transform the dustiest patch of land along Route 66 into a major tourist attraction. The game is to be released in the UK for Ł 24.99 (all versions), and the PS2 and PC versions of the title will be out by July 20. Meanwhile, Oxygen Games promises that the PSP, DS, and Wii versions will follow soon after that. While we wait for the game's release, just sit back and bask in Big Bubba's words of wisdom. |

Oxygen Games (also known as Oxygen Interactive) has announced a new video game for the Nintendo DS, a game that a recent press release calls "a modern, stylish,
and comprehensive take on pool." The game is 8Ball Allstars, and it will be ready for Nintendo DS systems by the third quarter of 2007.Apparently, the game will feature a multiplayer mode (although the Oxygen Games press release never came out and said it): "This year's most exciting and comprehensive pool experience, 8Ball Allstars calls upon pool fans and Nintendo DS owners to chalk up their cues and challenge their friends anywhere to head-to-head games." There are also customizable features (which is apparently the way that we DS fans "like it"): "8Ball Allstars gives Nintendo DS fans pool the way they like it! With a fully customisable feature set, the game allows players to style their game and play however they like, wherever they like." A recent article pegged 8 Ball All Stars for November 1, 2007, but the game release may or may not only be limited to the United Kingdom (the dateline of the 8Ball Allstars press release we received was "Northamptonshire, UK"), but Oxygen Games (or Oxygen Interactive) may clarify this the closer we get to the release date. And yes, in case you noticed the small difference in spelling in that last mention of the game's title, it's because Oxygen's press releases have different versions of the game's name: "8Ball" and "8 Ball" - "Allstars" and "All Stars", so take your pick. |

Pinball has always been one of the staple arcade games ever. And so, you're bound to hit a console or handheld game that's dedicated to the table-tilter. With bells, flashing lights, and alarms, Oxygen Games just announced Powershot Pinball Constructor for the Nintendo DS.While you might have found your pinball solace in Metroid Prime Pinball or Flipper Critters, this new title that's scheduled for June of this year will not just allow you to play pinball on your handheld. It will also let you create your own table set-up *and* share them with your DS friends. The table editor allows you to design and personalize your own stage. And if that's not enough to "spring" you, there's still the versus mode where you can catapult yourself to High Score fame. It's going to take a lot of m@d r3flex skillz to battle it out in the versus mode. No table-bumping, ok? |
