Nintendo's sent out the list of their holiday line-up, and it looks like their Christmas goodie bags are bursting at the seams with their holiday offerings - even without those Christmas lights turned on yet. Included in the list are much-awaited titles like Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and a new Castlevania title for WiiWare.

It's been a head-on collision between Sony and Microsoft the past week with their own respective price cut announcements. Oddly enough, Nintendo remains sitting prettily and quietly. Have they got no plans to launch their defenses in light of the current happenings? Apparently, no, they don't.

Finally, Nintendo of America has made an announcement on Pokemon HeartGold/ SoulSilver and it's good news. To be released in Japan next month, it is now Nintendo's pleasure to bring the word that these two games will finally be available to North America and Europe as well come Spring of 2010. If you thought that Nintendo would have given up going after the hardcore market now, you're dead wrong. They're more determined than ever, and they remain positive that yes, they can still win over the Halo audience.

And finally, this is really it! There's no stopping E3 now! The committee for the E3 Expo 2009 has now released the floor plans for the said event. Posted over at their official website are the layouts for the West Hall, South Hall, and the 2nd Level Directory. Details after the jump.

Nintendo disappointed a lot of core gamers at last year's E3 after it didn't announce any new Zelda or Mario game. This year, the company plans to make up for it. Talking to GameTrailers, Nintendo of America chief Reggie Fils-Aime said that they will do a "much better job" at E3 2009.

What does the Nintendo have to offer in the area of user-generated content? Miis? That's it, I think. This situation may change soon, however. Nintendo of America CEO Reggie Fils-Aime has recently said that user-generated content is the future of interactive entertainment, and so Nintendo's gonna hop right onto that bandwagon.

It's the question we all asked about the Wii: "where the hell are the hardcore games?" Here's your answer. According to Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime, "instead of competing for the very best players, we decided to shoot for the most players."

Well. A tiny piece of my Zelda heart just broke.

Nintendo of America's Reggie Fils-Aime: "One of our competitors [the PlayStation 3] projects they will sell 10 million consoles worldwide this year. For us, that's three months of production [for the Wii]." Ohhh, burn!

Anyway, on to the news. Addressing the shortage problem, Fils-Aime has announced that they will raise production by 33%. About time.

Over the weekend, a couple of reports surfaced online, talking about a new kind of Nintendo DS to come out later this year: they say it's got a built-in camera and allows music playback functions. Think DS, digicam, and mp3 player... all in one handheld. Too good to be true? Perhaps. Nintendo Japan and America have both responded to these reports saying that they've never announced such a thing. Which basically translates to "no comment" (i.e. neither confirmed nor denied).
