Cooking Mama's back, and this time she's not just going to show you how to cook but how to shop for ingredients as well. Cooking Mama 3: Shop & Chop introduces the new Let's Shop mode where players go shopping with Mama to pick out the ingredients for the game's selection of 80 new recipes. It was last year when we first heard news about Eidos Interactive bringing the classic dungeon crawler, Gauntlet, to the DS. However, it suddenly disappeared into thin air come early this year. Now, we are receiving word that it just might have been picked up by Majesco Entertainment, as indicated by the ESRB website.

After a rather tame period of releases from Nintendo (Wii Music failed to rock my world), things may finally be looking up for 2009. They have a lot of games lined-up, including Pokemon Platinum and Chinatown Wars for the DS, while the Wii gets MadWorld and some retro action with GameCube upgrades.

Why Mama?!? This is what's on the mind of many fans of Cooking Mama (DS and Wii) as they find that the adorable cookin'-loving Mama has become the unwitting recipient of animal rights group PETA's rage. Why? Cos she serves dishes with meat.

It's wholesome games galore this week of July 6 to July 12 for your fave consoles. From carnivals (Carnival Games, Wonder World Amusement Park) to memory-treasure hunting (Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon), there's certainly a lot of Everyone ratings raining down from ESRB. Oh, but you want some blood and gore and fast-paced action? Alright, there's a couple of them stashed for you and Unreal Tournament III for the Xbox 360 is (finally) one of them here. Fans of casual games in Europe are going to get some loving from Majesco Entertainment now that the company has joined hands with Codemasters to bring 12 titles to their part of the world. Majesco Games just announced that the Cooking Mama franchise has sold 1.6 million units. The original Cooking Mama for the Nintendo DS, joined by its sequels Cooking Mama 2: Dinner with Friends and Cooking Mama: Cook Off for the Nintendo Wii proved that a unique concept coupled with innovative controls do wonders.
