As promised, here's an entirely different review for the M3 DS Simply than combining it with the R4 DS. I apologize for taking a long time to publish this review; however it is better late than never! These are in fact the same product, just different casing (sticker) and internal firmware. It all comes down to whether or not you like the R4's logo over the M3 DS Simply logo and their respected internal firmware. The M3 DS Simply offers an excellent solution to current NDS owners looking for a flashcart to enter the "scene" with. Read the review after the jump! Let's play a little game of jeopardy. Ready? This has been released by the M3/G6 Team recently. According to various sources, this will enable all DS homebrew devs to have access to M3's/G6's filesystem. It comes with a sort of a FAT32 filesystem tutorial, as well as a "customized version" of MoonShell. According to Tehskeen, "both of these resources should help developers get started on reading/writing to the cards and making use of the FAT32 filesystem". Buzz! Time's up! If you answered, errr, asked, "What is the M3/G6 Official FatLibs?" Then you won. The readme says that the G6/M3 FAT32 source code was provided, but according to linFox over at the M3 forums, there's only a binary code for G6, although the "source is there for everything else". Hmmm... so what exactly does this package contain? Click on the download link below to find out for yourself. Does this mean MS Team's going to support the homebrew community now? If you can recall, DragonMinded has dropped support for M3/G6 flashcarts due to "compatibility issues and unwanted stress". Then there was a petition started by M3 Lite owner Roy Lazarovich, asking the M3 Team to work more closely with the homebrew developers. Can this be their response? What do you think? Credits go to wldworld for the heads-up! Download: [M3/G6 Official FatLibs v3] |

Well, it's been a couple of weeks, so it's just about time for another update for the M3 Loader. From version 27A, which added a bugfix to the previous version, we're now on version 28. Now, we can't seem to find the changelog for this one, but if version 27 was an indication, this version should add additional compatible titles and work on the bringing old and new compatible titles up to speed. For those who aren't used to the M3 players, or have just picked one up recently, we've added the installation procedure from the file here for you. Enjoy! To Install: 1. Put updategc.XXX or Updagcsd.xxx file into the root directory of your CF/SD card. 2. Insert the cf/SD into the slot of M3 adapter. 3. Boot the console with M3 adapter inserted. 4. A message will appear to ask you to install or bypass the installation procedures. (press "start" to install, press "A" bypass) Download: [English M3 Loader v28] |

The M3 Lite is, without a doubt, the best flashcart I have ever laid eyes on right now. It stands out from the crowd of previous generation flashcart adapters, and even beats all of the competition in my personal opinion. The M3 Lite was released on the 25th of last month and is available for purchase at various online retailers. Even with a rather high price point compared to the competition, the extra few bucks pays off in the end with several advantages over other adapters. You can read my review of this great product after the jump! PS:
The product was sent to me over a week from release so, sorry for the delay.

If there aren't any yet, expect to see this as a bumper sticker soon: "Got Pink?" Why? Well, it seems like everyone is going that way lately. Pink this, pink that and now - a pink M3 lite. This image came from M3 Team themselves, who are soon to release the newest incarnation of the M3 Nintendo DS slot 2 mod.The Lite version, aside from using microSD media cards for storage, is built to set flush in the DS Lite without sticking out at all. The unit comes as well, with a built-in emulators for legacy systems like Gameboy Mono, Sega Master System, Sega Game Gear, Nintendo and Turbografx16. This unit is also a multimedia player, picture viewer, full functioning PDA and digital book viewer. M3 Lite really stands out beyond the other mods that are out today. And most importantly, it comes in pink! |

Bernie Yee (Yee) stopped by our forums to inform us of his recently published review for the EZ4Lite Deluxe / Compact. The EZ4Lite was the first flashcart adapter for the Nintendo DS Lite. The EZ team have gone back to their product and redesigned it in an aspect, improving several flaws that were not taken care of for the first release. Some of the pluses of this flashcart include its cheap price, and great GBA support. However, it doesn't quite match up to the M3 Lite, but you are paying a lot less. So if price is an issue, this adapter might just be perfect for you! Read Yee's full review after the jump! |

Several of you were, to put it lightly, shocked, to find out that DragondMinded has dropped DSOrganize support for M3/G6 flashcarts due to compatibility issues. Stress from constant fixes and maintaining multiple updates has also contributed to this drop.A concerned M3 Lite owner, Roy Lazarovich, has decided to start a petition that aims to gather backing for a formal request to the M3 Team and convince/assist them to work more closely with homebrew developers. Hopefully the needed tools, libraries, and source code needed will be provided to the community so that they may continue to support these great products. The petition in turn requests homebrew developers to continue supporting the M3 and the G6. If you feel like you want to help out, you can head to the Petition's site and sign there. |

Our resident forum moderator, EriCKY, has finished his review of the M3
Lite he recieved yesterday and has posted it on our forums. The review
is one of the first reviews of this great product, and I'm almost
convinced that this is the flash adapter to get this year! With great
compatability, a flush fit (contrary to previous speculation and
pictures), expandable memory, you really can't go wrong with this
flashcart. Aside from it's high price point of about 80$, it is the
best flashcart on the market according to this review. So, do you want
to know why EriCKY thinks it is so great? Read so after the jump!

Over at a Chinese forum, a forum manager got his hands on the upcoming M3 Lite for the Nintendo DS Lite. The M3 Lite will allow users to run homebrew and other .nds files straight from their MicroSD memory card assuming they have a no-pass device such as the Passcard 3 and this product.
We've seen several revolutionary flashcarts this year including this product. This is the summer of flashcarts, and all have their own pros and cons. The M3 Lite however, has numerous pros and only a few cons. One of the only cons that I can think of without having the product in my hands (yet), is the expensive price of 79.99$, but this is all worth it in the end as MicroSD cards only range in the 20$-50$ range for high capacities (512mb - 1gb). This is the first flush-fit adapter from M3 even after they released several versions such as the CF, SD, Slim SD, and MiniSD adapters. |
