As DragonMinded's site mentions, DSOgranize carries a ton of features, such as a scribble pad function, to-do list, and html editor. There's also a DS homebrew database, mp3 player, and a host of other assorted features.

ircdsv03bFreeman sure must have a lot of time in his hands, 'coz soon after the release of IRCDS v0.3a now comes v0.3b!

If you're an IRCDS neophyte, this is basically an IRC client for DS (hence the name). For this version though, Freeman added blowfish, skin support, and a few bugfixes as well. Whereas in the earlier versions you're stuck with the skin the app came with, you can now choose the skin's color.

You'll also find a sample skin in ircds.ini_SKINNED_. To customize the color, simply use HTML color codes (i.e. #FF50B0). Freeman's also asking you guys that if you do make a skin for this version, post in on his homepage (freemaan.webhop.net) so he can include it in future versions.

Controls:
-Start: (re)connect
-Select: disconnect
-B: parts from a channel
-L,R: gives back your previous message
-Left,right,up,down - scrolls the upper screen
-START+SELECT (at logo screen) - disables FAT support

Now, if you're still in doubt, or need more info on this app, you can read all about it here. Or better yet, just check out the readme included in the zip file, all the info you need should be there. If this app doesn't really do much for you, you can check out the other DS homebrew apps we have right here.

DS-X PackagingThe launch of the DS-Xtreme (DS Flashcart) was a huge success, with both the IRC and support forums busy with commotion and anticipation. Now that the product is released, the real test begins - how long can it last, and will it be supported as well as promised? Well, both of these questions must be answered by the test of time, but with only a little over a week since it was released, the DS-X is already seeing its first system update!

DS-X Guru over at the DS-X forums has informed the community that a new update is "coming really soon" in the form of the 1.0.2 update (current version at 1.0.1). When this new update is released, we will jump right on it, even if it may only be a few fixes. I'm looking forward to each and every release made by DS-X team.

DS homebrew coder Freemaan has just released version 0.2b of his IRC chat client for the Nintendo DS, the IRCDS. In this latest version, Freemaan has updated the application's compatibility, now allowing it to be used with MiniSD cards. However, he has also noted that there are still some minor errors that occur that he will eventually fix such as some minor graphic bugs, as well as the issue of not being able to connect to some servers with some routers.

In the meantime, he has listed the following as things that users may look forward to:
  • IRC colors support
  • Autoupdate
  • More languages
  • DCC chat, transfer
