Here's a new homebrew game for your DS, thanks to Kukulcan. It's Caisses DS, a puzzle game that's got you arranging warehouse boxes in neat rows. Cute, huh?

Sprite Editor's back with version 0.3.3 from French DS brew developer PypeBros. This one's actually the first release that includes the palette, and there are a couple other changes so why don't you go check it out after the jump.

Want to test out different operating systems on your DS to see which cool new apps you can fiddle with on a handheld console? You may want to add the Inferno DS to your list, since the port of the Inferno OS promises different functions that take advantage of the DS' hardware, such as VoIP. In-game advertising may tend to be amusing or sometimes even intrusive during play, but we haven't seen the full potential of it yet. Google is reportedly testing "AdSense for Games," an in-game advertising system that involves in-game characters initiating product plugs and other sort of advertisement. More in the full article.

A word of warning to users of R4 clones: the R4 team seems to make a move towards eradicating the clones of their best-selling R4DS flashcart, but in a fairly risky method that would put users in danger. If our favorite weblator correctly translated R4's statement, it seems that they are planning to brick Nintendo DS units that are running R4 clones.  Sounds okay? Seems like Ninty doesn't want to wait till E3 to spill the beans about its new games. Nintendo has released details and release dates for several of its upcoming games for the Wii and the DS, including Mario Super Sluggers and Wario Land: Shake It! Details in the full article.

Business partners THQ and Nickelodeon have just released their planned lineup of games for this year. One title that's certainly worth a look is Avatar - The Last Airbender: Into the Inferno, which was previously announced Wii, DS, and PS3 platforms. Homebrew developer Cid2Mizard has released Super Mario Galaxies v0.8. Not to be confused with the Wii game with a similar name, this top-down space shooter pits Mario against Goomba Jets.
