Sega was pretty generous in providing information as to the release
dates of its games for the PAL region. We at QJ were lucky enough to
get them from German site GameFront, and so we turn them over to you,
as you are the ones to benefit from it the most. There's a lot of good video games lined up for this year, especially for the coming Autumn season. Of course, Sega also has lineups for the coming summer, and Holidays. However, there are no specific dates yet, basically, except for the Mental game Crush for the PSP. This one will be heading out your way next week, May 25. But despite that lack of exact information, at least you have a basic idea as to when to prepare for these games. Check out the full list below. PLATFORM DATE PSP Crush May 25, 2007 Alien Syndrome Early Summer 07 Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars Early Summer 07 SEGA Rally Autumn 2007 The Golden Compass Christmas 2007 DS Sega Presents Touch Darts Early Summer 07 Sonic Rush Adventure Autumn 2007 The Golden Compass Christmas 2007 Mario & Sonic at Christmas 2007 The Olympic Games To see what games make it to the list for the next-gen consoles, click on Full Article. |

Thanks to German gaming news site GameFront, we got hold of a new list of release dates for PAL titles. The list has quite a few PSP titles in it, along with one each for the Nintendo DS and Microsoft's Xbox 360. No PS3 titles, though.
A couple of notable titles are The History Channel: Great Battles of Rome and Earth Defence Force 2017. Puzzle fans also get their own dose of gaming goodness courtesy of the PSP titles Cube and PQ: Practical Intelligence Quotient. Check the list below for the titles and dates.

News got out that Square Enix has registered The Last Remnant as a video game title last April 24. Now, we haven't a clue what this game or its name means, but we can offer some guesses as to what The Last Remnant might be.Gaming site Gameswank has theorized that this might be a Square Enix game for either the Nintendo Wii or for Microsoft's Xbox 360. That could be possible as the game company tends to branch out and experiment on both established and newly-launched consoles. And there are speculations circulating that this could also be a game for the handhelds. From what we gather, there's no indication in the trademark (screenshot here) that it isn't. But here's what we've been hearing about Square Enix's latest registered game: It could very well be a "sub-title to an already well-known product" (translated from GameFront entry). What video game and genre is Squeenix known for again? But then there's that next-gen MMORPG the company's rumored to be working on... Again, there's nothing much we could glean on the The Last Remnant trademark document. And until Square Enix announces anything about this, we can only guess. |

Now, who would have thought it?According to the German gaming site GameFront, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun has released a report about a press conference which has just been held by Nintendo. As most press conferences go, the Nintendo officials spoke about upcoming game titles, the financial gains of the company, movements and plans in general. However, one simple statement from Nintendo President Satoru Iwata made the event a whole lot more exciting. According to the Japanese newspaper, Iwata stated that they "would love to see Kutaragi join up with Nintendo". Now, this may generate a lot of reactions, but then again, how this will all develop would be nothing short of interesting. After all, Kutaragi's honorary position at Sony isn't exactly a very active office, and The Father of Playstation has also stated in recent interviews that his next ventures would mostly be independent from Sony, so there MAY be a good chance that he'll take Nintendo up on his offer. After all, it cannot be denied that Kutaragi has a long history with Nintendo, since he IS the guy who gave the SNES the gift of sound, via the SPC700 chip which he designed. However, considering the fact that Kutaragi was also once badly slighted by Iwata's predecessors (think: Hiroshi Yamauchi, CES 1989, and a botched Play Station announcement... note the space in between "Play Station"), one can't really tell what Crazy Ken will do next. |

April 12 is a few winks away and hopefully, Capcom and Christian Svensson will fulfill their promise of a game-related announcement. For now, we would have to make do with other Capcom announcements. Checking out German gaming site, Gamefront, we managed to find a PAL schedule of Capcom game releases. Here are the titles that our European friends could expect.

Over at GameFront, they reported that the Japanese tech publication Game Labo has indicated in its rumor section that the Big N itself may be backing up the ad campaign for DQ9. To be specific, it may be that Nintendo will finance all television ads promoting the game, and may even bring on board a popular Japanese Idol group to help with the promotions. The DS-exclusive title Dragon Quest IX: Defenders of the Sky (a.k.a. Dragon Quest IX Hoshizora no Mamoribito) by Square Enix may prove to be one of the most popular titles for the Nintendo handheld. After all, the mere announcement of this game is known to have boosted Squeenix's stock in leaps and bounds, so it may just be logical for Nintendo to throw in their support for this title. Now, we just need to figure out which Japanese Idol group that would be... |

According to the German site Gamefront, Japanese gaming bible Famitsu has confirmed that Square-Enix is releasing yet another title for the DS. If the buzz is correct, the said developer is porting its original game Front Mission from the PS2 and over to the Nintendo DS with some new never-before seen Wanzers. Glen Duval from Front Mission 5: Scars of the War is also expected to make an appearance. Let's wait and see, shall we?The Front Mission franchise is a Strategy/RPG game for the PS2 in which the player assumes the role of two pilots of large mecha known as Wanzers. Front Mission 4 is set in Germany and South America circa 2096, six years after Front Mission 3. The game has two major plot lines involving Elsa, a new recruit for the EC's Armored Tactics Research Corps, "Durandal". The Durandal's initial assignment is to investigate recent attacks made on German military bases by unknown elite Wanzer forces. The second plot is set in Venezuela and centers around a UCS Wanzer pilot named Darril and his squad mates Renges and Chaeffer. The rest of the game shifts back and forth between the two scenarios every few missions. Front Mission 5 is harder to explain because an English version was never released despite a petition made to Square Enix by North American fans. |
