Lucasarts: No new games at E3 due to The Force is not strong at E3 this year, as LucasArts has decided not to announce any new games during the event because of "too much noise" surrounding it. Hopefully this doesn't mean that we won't hear any news on the upcoming Star Wars games. More in the full article.

*UPDATE* LucasArts has clarified that they will still be attending E3, after some initial confusion at their announcement.

Nintendo logo - Image 1It seems that dropping out of trade shows is in vogue right now with many gaming publishers dropping out of the ESA. Nintendo is also following suit, but instead of ditching ESA and E3, Nintendo decided to withdraw from this year's Leipzig Games Convention. It's not because of criticism, however. ESA spent US$ 5 million to move E3 out of LA; membership costs up - Image 1It's a bit late, but given the timeliness of Jeff Brown's opinions of late, we thought this might clear up some air on the ESA issue. It appears that a copy of an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) document accounting for the financial transactions at the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has made it to the hands of the media, and what has been discovered might be the real reason why major members are bailing from the premiere software organization.
