Duke Nukem Forever - Image 1When contractual obligations are not carried out according to stipulations agreed to by both parties, you can expect an ugly lawsuit to come next. What more if the agreement is not carried out at all? 3D Realms is about to find out the answer to that scenario as Take-Two Interactive files suit against what's left of the developer company for failing to deliver Duke Nukem Forever, via its parent company, Apogee.

Duke NukemTrue enough, Apogee Software's Duke Nukem announcement did come along this week! And do we hear of anything about the status of Duke Nukem Forever? Why, of course not! And what's the big announcement? They're holding auditions for a live-action Duke Nukem model to strut around the country and market Duke's upcoming games!

Duke NukemSo 3D Realms has shut down, thus making everyone believe that Duke Nukem Forever's gone back to the hole it once crawled out from. But if Apogee Software COO Terry Nagy is to be taken for consideration, we may here some word about the official status of DNF next week. It's either that or we get hear about the handheld trilogy set to come out for the PSP and DS.

Duke Nukem Forever - Image 1When Slash000 paid US$ 10 to pre-order Duke Nukem Forever through his local GameStop, little did he know that he would have to wait 12 years to wait for an answer. Unfortunately for him, the answer might be a disappointing "no" now that 3D Realms has run out of money and can no longer continue the game's development.

Duke Nukem - Image 1First in the Duke Nukem Trilogy (all of which are to be released on the PSP and DS) is DN Critical Mass, scheduled for some time late-2009. While pics from the other day finally put a face to the game, here's some actual gameplay footage for both versions. To my knowledge, it's going to be the first time we actually get to see the game in action.

 Apogee updates on Duke Nukem Trilogy progress - Image 1It's been a long time since we heard anything about the Duke Nukem Trilogy. Despite people thinking that the game doesn't really exist (thanks to the E3 trailer sans any form of gameplay footage), Apogee insists that it is indeed real, and development is coming along "at a feverish pace." I'll believe it when I see it.
