DSudokuThe whole holiday season's just passed by, so it's kind of a given that most of us have blown our money on alcohol, gifts, and more alcohol. Lack of funds doesn't mean you'll have to suffer with the injustice of having a lack of games for your DS, though. I mean, there's always homebrew.

Take this new piece of homebrew goodness, for example. What we have here is DSudoku, which, judging by the name, is about a certain Japanese puzzle game that has gotten a lot of people in the world hunched over and trying to figure out which numbers go in which boxes.

There are still a few bugs in DSudoku as this is a first release. Some of the puzzles don't work (CrescentMoon, the coder, says puzzles 2 and 4 are a no go for him), but we're sure that this will be fixed by the time the next release comes out. Read on for the game controls:

Use the D-pad, or arrows to select a sudoku then start to play it. Then use the D-pad to select a square and use the stylus to draw in the number... if you can't do it, because it's too hard or the game's being stupid again and the puzzle doesn't work (XD) press start and return to menu.

CrescentMoon from PAlib forums has just released his first homebrew game for the DS. He dubbed it Blackout and it's a version of Lights Out.

Lights Out is an electronic puzzle game originally made by Hasbro. At the start of the game, there are a sequence of lights that are switched on. The goal is to turn all the lights off by pressing one of the lights, which in turn switches four adjacent lights on or off.

The dev says, "I made it for my girlfriend for Christmas after she bought the original version." Awww... How sweet.

At the moment, CrescentMoon hasn't provided the version for those using the SuperCard. Maybe if we pray hard enough (or comment, at least), he'd post the upload to that one. So, pray hard.
