Since Square Enix's official acquisition of Eidos back in May, there've been lots of hoping and speculating surrounding the possibility of the two publishers crossing-over IPs. Here's your answer - in an interview with Gamasutra, the CEOs of both companies reveal: "It's possible."

How's that PlayStation Eye treatin' ya? Gathering dust is it? Tired of scaring the crap out of your virtual fish, or leading hapless lemmings to safety? Behold the cure, just revealed at Leipzig, Sony's PSEye powered virtual pet game, EyePet, looks pretty darn spiffy. If what's shown in this video is actually indicative of how smart and reactive these little fellas are then I want one!

Square Enix has two new surprises for DS users everywhere. They're coming up with two new games starring the ever lovable Chocobo of Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales fame! Learn more about these two upcoming games after the jump!

h.a.n.d. Inc. has been tirelessly working with Square Enix for games such as Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales, Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon: Labyrinth of Forgotten Time, and the upcoming Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days.

Japan's Media Create group has recently posted their tallies for the region's software sales ending December 16. Aside from the usual collection of Nintendo Wii and DS games, one new arrival of note is Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. More details are up ahead in the full article

Well, it's confirmed. If any of you guys have a convenient ticket going to Japan, now would be a good time to book it so you can catch the Jump Festa 2008 event. That's where Square Enix will be previewing the closed door trailer of its upcoming Final Fantasy Fabula Nova Crystallis games, as well as its other highly anticipated titles for next year.

Let's face it: Square Enix' current lineup of games is made up of entries to known franchises that promise good sales.  Sure, we're still waiting for Last Remnant and Infinite Undiscovery, but aside from those big names, the rest of Squeenix' promising games are either of Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest lineage.

Square Enix has just put up a .PDF file over at its official online website outlining its performance for the first half of 2007 fiscal year. The details included in the file are from April 1 until September 31.

One striking point that we noticed was the great leap of PlayStation Portable and Nintendo Wii sales compared to the figures gathered for the same time period a year ago. Read more.

 

We've got a few screenshots of Square Enix's Final Fantasy Tactics A2: The Sealed Grimoire that we'd like you to check out. While we've already covered most of the races that will make the game (humans, Moogle, Viera, Bangaa, Seeq), there's one more important race - or species - that was quite overlooked from the other updates: the fluffy Chocobo! And no, this is NOT Chocobo.
