Breakout DS - Image 1 Breakout DS - Image 2

Here's a great little game that has been released in the DS Game section of the Neoflash homebrew coding competition. This classic Arkanoid/Breakout clone sees you using the paddle to bounce the ball and destroy the bricks. With this game by scognito2, you can use the stylus or the d-pad to move the paddle, whichever one suits you best.

This version comes with two modes: normal mode with 10 levels, and random generated level (infinite levels). Bonuses included are: double size, half size, fireball and magnet. If you have ever player Arkanoid or Breakout, which I'm sure most of you have, then you will undoubtedly enjoy this title. Considering that this is scognito2's first attempt at a DS game, he deserves to do well in the Neoflash competition.

Break'em All, by D3, is the Breakout/Arkanoid clone coming out for the Nintendo DS. Break'em All offers classic arcade puzzle solving action, as players fight their way through multiple levels and out-duel challenging bosses. Three unique gameplay modes such as Tokoton, Quest and Survival offer compelling single player action or multiplayer games for 2-8 players via the wireless feature for Nintendo DS. Players will control their paddle with pin-point accuracy using the touch pad and stylus and select from diverse bonus powers to power-up their ball. The game will be released on June 20th, but until then go ahead and check out some of the screenshots below by clicking on the thumbnails.
