20 years after Nintendo launched the Game Boy, the immensely popular
portable gaming device has now been inducted into the National Toy Hall
of Fame, joining the ranks of an elite list of legendary playthings. An
honor well-deserved. Seeking to continue their hardware success,
Nintendo has had another busy week, topped off with updates from three
of their biggest execs. |

As if a new Zelda game isn't enough, Nintendo is sweetening the purchase of The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks in Japan with a cool bonus. For those picking this up at Day 1, you'll be getting a neat feather stylus for your Nintendo DS. |

"Price cut" seems like the console mantra for months now, putting the
pressure on major players in the industry to take a bit off their
hardware price to stay competitive. Nintendo, so it seems, remains
adamant about not lowering the Wii price, despite five months of sales
decline, possibly going six. If Nintendo won't, then the retailers may
be taking matters into their own hands, with rumors of price cuts
surfacing anew. |

Nintendo's sent out the list of their holiday line-up, and it looks
like their Christmas goodie bags are bursting at the seams with their
holiday offerings - even without those Christmas lights turned on yet.
Included in the list are much-awaited titles like Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and a new Castlevania title for WiiWare. |

Pretty soon, we will be seeing DS games having demo plays incorporated
into its features. Japanese news site Nikkei reports that the new Skip
Functionality will be made present to Nintendo's handhelds, similar to
the one debuted in the New Super Mario Bros. Wii. |

This week sure has been a quite one for Ninty. Early prepping for TGS
maybe? At any rate, there are still a few tidbits to be read in this
week's recap, the biggest being Shia LeBeouf's anti-Wii comments that
may have lost him a few fans and earned him a lot of flames. Catch that
and more on this edition of the Nintendo Weekend Warrior. |
