Ok, honestly, I felt that Ninty's press conference at E3 felt a little... lacking. Oh sure, the new Wii Speak peripheral and new details on Wii Music got me hyped, but still, something was missing. Two words. Mario. Zelda. At the event, Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata commented that there are indeed Mario and Zelda projects in the works, but chose not to elaborate. Sporting a new look similar to another Ubisoft-made assassin (by the name of Altair), the new Prince of Persia (PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, DS) springs into action once again on the next-gen consoles, PC, and handheld. Ubisoft has recently revealed several images of the new Prince as well as the beautifully cel-shaded environments he will be travelling in. Famitsu, one of Japan's premier video game publications, has released its list of top 25 games for 2007. Interestingly enough, almost half of the games in the list belong to the Xbox 360 platform, which has been trailing behind in Japan's hardware sales. Graphics aren't the only notable differences between the PlayStation Portable and the Nintendo DS version of Hudson Entertainment's Dungeon Explorer: Warriors of Ancient Arts. Shigeru Miyamoto, the veritable father of modern gaming, revealed in a recent interview with Famitsu some of the Nintendo's future plans for its next-gen gaming platforms. He discussed the possibility of future titles using the Wii Fit's Balance Board peripheral, more sequels of Nintendo's successful past titles, and the new features that the DS handheld will be sporting in the coming year.
