Additional tracks have been announced for Lego Rock Band (PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, and DS), and fittingly, following the demise of the King of Pop, they're making room for a Jackson 5 track, so said Traveller's Tales boss Jonathan Smith.

See, when the game was officially announced yesterday, I was wondering how much humor and playfulness the Lego brand of gameplay would bring to the Rock Band setting. Don't look now, but LRB will have you going against giant enemy crabs robots, skyscrapers, and call up weather storms by sheer rock power.

No more rumors. No more should-have-been slide presentations. Lego Rock Band is now confirmed for the PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, and DS. In fact, why not we throw in a screenshot and a partial track list too?

The long-rumored Lego Harry Potter has never been officially confirmed. Today, it won't get officially confirmed either. Just... confirmed. This comes from Traveller's Tales animator Charlotte Parker who, in her online resumé, reveals that she is already working on the said title... and another one to boot.

You've got the Star Wars franchise, Batman, and Indiana Jones - all of them getting their own multiplatform Lego treatment for the past few years. And just last month, talks of a Harry Potter Lego ran rampant, with Warner giving a "no comment" response to the rumors. Now, it's been revealed that, whether or not Traveller's Tales really is Lego-fying Hogwarts, it definitely won't happen next year. Meanwhile, they might just throw us a new (err, newly recycled?) Lego game instead.

Holy launch trailers, Batman! Are you ready to prance around the streets of Gotham with your undies worn over your tights? Lego Batman: The Video Game gets released today in North America, simultaneously for its PS3, PS2, PSP, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, DS, and PC versions.
