As probably known by the gamers, Activision's much sought-after Spider Man 3 game is launching this week for the Xbox 360, Wii, PS3, PSP, PS2, DS and PC. But while Spidey's been the center of attention, The Game Factory's Legend of the Dragon is also expected to jump into this week's fray for the PSP and Wii - we're itching to see how the game fares under the Wiimote.PC owners will be getting a new horror title by way of Frictional Games' Penumbra Overture, and a new turn-based strategy game via UFO: Extraterrestrials. Just make sure to phone your local retailers before heading out, in case any of these games catch your fancy. Xbox 360

What we have for you today is the first ever gameplay video for Code Lyoko. The game itself has a battle system
that will let players use a wide variety of skills like shooting,
puzzle solving, fighting, and even exploration. Well, with this video,
we learned that we should add another one to that list: racing. This Neko Entertainment-developed and The Game Factory-published title is looking good with every update; here's hoping it lives up to its hype.
Anyway, here's a piece of trivia about Code Lyoko. It was originally a television animated series (currently on-going) in France. The show is about students Aelita, Jeremie, Odd, Ulrich, and Yumi and their adventures inside a supercomputer housing the virtual world of Lyoko. Code Lyoko is expected to become available during Q4 2007. |

Code Lyoko fans rejoice! All we've seen of Code Lyoko are screenshots, today we've got a batch of gameplay videos that showcase the gameplay.
Code Lyoko from The Game Factory is based on the French animated series of the same title. All the main characters in the series are playable save for Jeremie. Players will be able to choose between Ulrich, Yumi, Aelita, and Odd. The adventure is set on both the real world and a virtual world called Lyoko. In the gameplay videos, we see the 3D aspects as well as the 2D areas of the game. There hasn't been any announcements as to when Code Lyoko will get released. But you can check out the videos for the meantime. Enjoy! More Videos after the jump! |

Ever dreamed of going to an virtual world/alternate reality? Though the idea just screams escapism, a number of game and cartoon titles feature that sort of premise: Digimon, the new PSP title Crush, and Code Lyoko. Code Lyoko is a French animated series that is about to be ported both to the Wii and the DS. The Game Factory has released another batch of screens for the DS version.
Code Lyoko centers on the adventures a group of classmates undergo to foil Xana's evil plans: Aelita, Ulrich, Yumi, Odd, and Jeremie. They go into the virtual world called Lyoko which is divided into five sectors. In the screenshots (along with the previous ones), we get a preview of Lyoko's sectors: Mountain, Forest, Ice Barrier, Desert, and Carthage. Plus we also get a sneak peak of the grounds and locations of Kadic Junior High School. Release is still tagged under "yet to be announced" so you can just check out the screens for the meantime. For more updates on Code Lyoko, stay glued.

It's every little girl's dream come true. Unless you live and grew up in a ranch, at one point in your teeny-bopper years you asked your parents for a pony. Enter Bratz Ponyz from The Game Factory. Today we have some new screens featuring one of the locations, the seaside of the Ponyz archipelago. Bratz Ponyz features players having their Ponyz join the "Passion for Fashion" competition and mini-games. As you can probably tell, this title is designed to cater little girls and maybe women in general along with Bratz: Forever Diamonds. Bratz Ponyz was announced to be released in Europe in summer of this year. Anyway, here's a few screenshots for a sneak peek of the game. See the rest of the screens right after the jump! |

As for the past couple of decades or so, the mention of a fat, orange cat and a tray of lasagna can only induce one memory, and that would be no other than Jim Davis' Garfield. So, for those of you who've followed the Sunday comics all these years, here's a short video which shows the orange cat in action in his own video game, Garfield's Nightmare.
In any case, in this 3D platformer, players will have to help Garfield get out of a bad dream which has been induced by yet another bout of over-eating. (Remember, kids! Don't sleep immediately after a big meal!) Anyway, this title may be a good gift option if you happen to have any younger siblings or relatives whose birthday is coming up, or you could just simply get it for yourself if you happen to be a fan of the comic series. It may not be the most "hardcore" game on the block, but then again, this DS title by The Game Factory should be just fine sitting side by side with the likes of Cooking Mama and Rocket Slime once it's released by March 2007. |
