On Shelves This Week - Image 1We have a rather sizeable haul of new games this week. The cream of the crop includes such titles as Tekken 6, DJ Hero, Forza Motorsport 3, Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, and that undying (not undead -- no, that would actually be cool) Petz series. Dig in and see which games fit your tastes and budget.

Trinley Dorje - Image 1Don't let his robes fool you - you may have more in common with Trinley Dorje than you think. He's only 24, listens to hip-hop on his iPod, and enjoys a good round violent video games. Yes, you read that right - this Buddhist leader enjoys good old-fashioned pwnage as much as the next guy. In fact, despite his disposition, Dorje believes that this type of games can even be therapeutic.

Thumb - Image 1 Team Ninja's leading man, the guy with a few smiles and a thousand words, behind the Tecmo-published Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive series deserves his own QuickJump Quicklist, so here's something dedicated to Tomonobu Itagaki and all his greatness. We've collected some lines from Itagaki that are either very amusing, or so badass fanboys would rather follow him around and wipe his sunglasses clean for a living.

Find all that at the full article!

Ninja Gaiden Sigma - Image 1

Tomonobu Itagaki of Team Ninja fame, and admittedly one of the videogame industry's more controversial identities to date, recently sat down in an interview to talk about all things Ninja Gaiden - specifically, about the series coming out on the DS, as well as a possible sequel to the awesome next-gen slash-em-up.

We also get a few juicy hints about the games Team Ninja's hard at work on, as well as his opinion about Tekken (which, by now, should probably be a knee-jerk reaction, wouldn't it?). We give you all the details and more.

The full details of the interview after the jump!

Get cheap import games from RenChi - Image 1 Get cheap import games from RenChi - Image 2

We just found out from QJ reader Mitton, that videogame retailer, RenChi, now has a videogame clearance sale at the moment and prices start at US$ 9.99. A quick look at their listing reveals that they specialize mostly on import games, but they do have other interesting stuff in stock.

If you're looking for those hard to find Japanese DS games, or if you're looking to get a copy of Tekken 5 for half price, you might want to check their listing out. Head to it via our "read" link below.

Not really news, but just a heads-up for the more frugal among you folks. Yeah, saving rocks. Thanks for the tip Mitton, keep 'em coming.

TrionCUbeNamco Bandai Games, the same people who brought us Tekken, PacMan, and Tamagotchi (to name a few) has just announced their new puzzle game for the DS, TrionCube.

Here's the game's basic storyline: You'll take on the role of captain of the space ship Penko and travel across eight planets to rescue the kidnapped princess and save her from the grasp of Hell Metal.

Now, in order to do this, you have to create a Trioncube, which, as the name states, is a series of 3x3 blocks which will start a chain reaction and fuel your space ship across space. The goal then is to create as big a chain as possible before time runs out so that the Penko will be able to travel in space for long distances and bring you to the princess.

As you progress through the game, you'll have to devise different strategies to deal with difficult shapes to create Trioncubes and get to the princess in time. You'll also have four gameplay modes to choose from: Arcade, Story, Endless and Versus mode.

Players will be able to collect coins and purchase various unique Effects and Arts - like sushi rolls, dogs and tambourines jumping out of the Trioncube  to fuel your space ship as you travel through space.

Trioncube is scheduled for release throughout North America in February 2007.
