Halloween is high upon us, and what better way to scare ourselves silly than to watch this video of the making of Renegade Kid's Dementium: The Ward? Well actually, there is a better way: actually getting the game. It is out today, after all.
Anyhow, what you will find here is an eerie walkthrough of sorts with the game's Creative Director, Jools Watsham. It is quite helpful, actually, as he shares a summary of the storyline. You wake up in a hospital room, you have no idea what happened, it's dark but you got a flashlight (although that soon won't be enough for your survival), you find out you're not alone... Riveting stuff, really. Fortunately, you have eight standard weapons to help you get out of that killer hellhole, but only if you're smart enough to down the big bosses. Yes, that would be in plural. So sit tight and check out this "Making of" video of Dementium: The Ward. Oh, and don't forget it's now available for your thrill! |

Independent developer Renegade Kid and video game publisher Mastiff have announced that they are teaming up to develop a new game tentatively being called Project M.While not much is known about the new game, it was revealed that Project M will be running on the proprietary 3D-engine Renegade Kid developed for Dementium: The Ward. In the press release, Mastiff CEO Bill Swartz also hinted about the premise of their latest offering saying that: Renegade Kid has proven that the DS is not just a platform for kiddie games. With skillful use of audio and controls, the developer created a truly creepy experience in Dementium: The Ward. We've seen enough of their latest project to know that they have much more in store. From all indications, it looks like Renegade Kid is working on another horror-survival game for the Nintendo DS. We'll have to wait for future announcements before we can say for certain though. |

All set for Halloween? Got those costumes, pumpkins and candy treats ready? Kids still alive? ... Huh? That's a bit odd to ask, right? Well it sure doesn't seem like anybody would want to be asked that question, nor would anybody want to answer in the negative, we're sure. But just the same, Renegade Kid dares to deal with this question, and even throws in their own solution to boot.
The clip embedded below is the Emergency News from Channel 666 that will bring you everything you need to know to keep your kids live and kicking this trick or treatin' season. Their advice? It's all in the ward. The Dementium: The Ward that is. Wanna get the rest of the scoop? Then go ahead and click play. |

The creepiest Nintendo DS title yet is right around the corner. In fact, it's so close we can already smell the stench surrounding Dementium: The Ward. Well, maybe not, but Renegade Kid just announced that the game has gone gold and is already in manufacturing for its Halloween release.
Renegade Kid defines Dementium: The Ward as "the survival horror FPS is sure to scare the ***t out of players with killer sound and ambience, frightful enemies, and a disturbing story." Publisher Gamecock is already taking pre-orders on their official website which is cool and all, but what's a Dementium post without an equally demented video? That said, the game's latest trailer you can find below reveals how withdrawn, anti-social folks can regain the spice in their lives. Or at least, how an extremely bored person can find something fun to do with the DS. Be wary though, because like previous Dementium: The Ward videos, this one is also not for the fainthearted. |

If you've been keeping tabs on the scariest Nintendo DS game yet by Renegade Kid, then the following video won't be too shocking. Otherwise, be prepared if you'd dare watch Dementium: The Ward's latest trailer. It's sick, it's twisted, it's demented - you've been warned, there are no nice plumbers here. The naughty kids combined equal doses of scenes taken from real life and gameplay footage this time, resulting in a great way to get us in the horror mood. With the hardware limitations of the Nintendo DS, developers of The Ward did a great job in depicting the creepiest hospital we've ever seen. As usual, we have to warn the faint hearted. There's real blood in the video, with freaky screaming girls and dead bodies getting dragged around. Watch the embed below at your own risk. |

The folks from Renegade Kid weren't joking around when they gave Dementium: The Ward its title. Aside from being the scariest horror title we've seen on the Nintendo DS, the game's trailers are also demented. Take this new one for example, called The Hammer.
Before any attempts to watch the video of Dementium: The Ward below, we'll have to make proper warnings: it is not for the faint hearted. What you'll find is not something that looks like an advertisement for a Nintendo DS title at first glance. In fact, if it weren't for a few seconds of gameplay footage near the end, you'd think the video is just some prank to scare people. Think you've got the guts? If bloody surgery tools, brutal cuts, crushed livers, bulging eyeballs, and freaky old men float your boat, then click on Play. Might as well put that phone on the ready if you're a victim of harsh medical practices. WARNING: Again, this video is not for the faint hearted. You've been warned. |

Who says Nintendo DS can't cater to hard-core horror fans? If you're one of those nonbelievers, then you probably haven't heard about Gamecock and Renegade Kid's Dementium: The Ward. This first-person shooter for the Nintendo DS is disturbing, to say the least.
The game is about a a man who wakes up in a derelict hospital that is frozen in time. Throughout his quest to escape he will encounter puzzles, other "friendly" characters, as well as various creatures out for blood. The graphics are in full 3D making it one of the prettiest games on the DS. Needless to say, it will be a treat for fans of the survival horror genre. In case you want to pick this game up, it's slated to be out this October 31. If you're not yet convinced that it's a good game, this trailer might change your mind, literally. |

Nintendo's wholesome handheld is far from untainted, but Renegade Kid's latest video game is still more than the Nintendo DS can handle. Or at least, Dementium: The Ward looks so good that nobody would guess it's running on a system for Italian plumbers in 2D platformers.
Not only is it graphically impressive for the platform it's made for, Dementium: The Ward is also disturbingly creepy. Here's an odd trailer to give you a glimpse of what we're talking about. Imagine Silent Hill with more monsters, cockroaches, and dirty walls that can make claustrophobic people cry, and you've got The Ward. Don't let this video fool you; even with scenes taken from real life, it's still a trailer for a Nintendo DS game. Seriously. |

We've got more of creepy screenshots of Gamecock Media Group and Renegade Kid's horror video game, Dementium: The Ward for the Nintendo DS. These screenshots show how the game promises to give us one of the most unadulterated horror games coming to the Nintendo DS to date.
We get more glimpses of the terrifying hospital and its inhabitants, as well as one of the puzzles that you'll encounter in Dementium: The Ward, which already looks intriguing even if it's shown only in one shot. For a game that doesn't have enough news coverage, Dementium: The Ward certainly shows much promise in the horror genre. More updates as they come! |

Tired of cutesy games on your DS? Ever wished your child-friendly handheld had hair-raising titles? If yes, Renegade Kid's latest offering will put a smile on your evil face. Dementium: The Ward is bound to turn your Stylus into a weapon of monster slaying. Set in a hospital frozen in time, this FPS combines fast-paced action, puzzle solving, freaky creatures, and mysterious environments to create what seems to be the child of Doom and Silent Hill. We've seen screens of how the game will look like, and even videos that prove the ability of Nintendo's handheld baby to make such horror-action possible, yet we can't get enough. That said, we've found new screens from GamePro that are sure to make your head spin. |
