Marvelous Entertainment announced the third iteration in the fame/love/fight-'em-up series from Neverland Company, Rune Factory 3. So far, the only release window given out is for Japan later this year, 2009.

Famitsu picked up news that Neverland Company is coming up with a sequel to Rune Factory, a fantasy farm simulation game published by Marvelous Interactive and released in Japan last year (U.S. release scheduled this year). In this Harvest Moon RPG spin-off, players are required to train in sword fighting as they grow crops and, at the same time, battle monsters and other creatures.

Not much information has been released on the sequel Harvest Moon: Rune Factory 2, but we do have some screenshots of the video game, and they do look promising and as interesting as the first game. More details are promised once the magazine comes out on April 27, so keep checking back. For now, let's take a look at these screenshots.
