The powers and resources of the NPD, Enterbrain, and GfK Chart-Track have all come together and the results are in - Dragon Quest IX
dominated the global sales charts spanning over three months ending
September of this year. What's more amazing is that the DS-exclusive
title has only been released in Japan. See how the others fared. |

The NPD results are out for the month of September, and look at what we
have here! A mighty and proud showing of PS3 sales finally taking over
the spot beyond the Xbox 360 and the Wii -- for the first time ever.
That's not to say that it topped all of the charts, though. A couple
hundred thousands more till it successfully topples down the Nintendo
DS from its # 1 spot. |

Despite five months of hurting sales, Nintendo still manages to come out on top of the drop, largely thanks to Wii Sports Resort
and possibly the Wii MotionPlus that comes with it. Speaking of new
controllers, we've got the Wii Vitality Sensor and a funny Wii
horseback riding controller on the spotlight as well. Get all the goods
on those, plus news of Japanese releases flying West in this edition of
the Nintendo Weekend Warrior. |

The decline will narrow, but it will continue. This is Michael
Pachter's prediction for the July NPD results, foreseeing a 22 percent
downturn compared to the same month last year. See what he has to say in the full article. |

The much-anticipated NPD software sales for June 2009 have finally been
released, but while it's easy to be overwhelmed by the numbers in the
thousands, they are, actually, underwhelming. in fact, the analysts
have been proven right in their prediction that it will see the fourth
consecutive sales decline -- and more. The newly-released sales numbers
are now described as the "largest drop in nine years." |
