We haven't heard any big announcements from Mistwalker recently, so this should come as good news for Hironobu Sakaguchi fans. Apparently they're heading into the "finishing" stage for a mysterious new project.

A new Blue Dragon title for the DS has reportedly been announced in the pages of the latest Famitsu issue. According to reports from NeoGAF, the new title is Blue Dragon: Ikai no Kyoujyuu (Behemoth of the Underworld). It's set for a 2009 release in Japan. Hit the jump for more game details.

Mistwalker fans better prepare for some disappointment today. AQ Interactive recently announced that Mistwalker's two upcoming Nintendo DS games, Blue Dragon Plus and Away: Shuffle Dungeon, have been delayed.

The official website of the Nintendo DS title Blue Dragon Plus from game developers Mistwalker and Brownie Brown Inc. is now up. This newest game in the Blue Dragon series was announced recently in Shonen Jump so details about Blue Dragon Plus are still scarce. Via Jeux France, we've recently found out that Mistwalker and Feel Plus are bringing Blue Dragonback into the fray. This time, however, they're taking those powerful blue shadows and bringing them to Nintendo's DS handheld.

Titled Blue Dragon Plus, the game appears to be a real-time strategy game that pits your shadow-enhanced party against small armies, with some armies being ruled by a boss-type monster. More after the jump!
