DS PSP iPhone - Image 1So there's the new PSP-3000, the new DSi, and the iPhone. How different is the portable gaming market now? Satoru Iwata already gave his thoughts on the subject matter - that they're not after iPhone's market share. And who can forget? Even John Koller had a thing to say about the current competition - that the DSi may be successful, but will remain for kiddies under 12. So now, will anyone else give their own two cents? No, duh. Of course someone will pipe in! Enter Luc Bernard, creator and developer of Eternity's Child.

Luc Bernard's Eternity's Child on the Wii and DS - Image 1

Eternity's Child, originally meant for the XBLA, will instead be appearing in the Nintendo Wii and the Nintendo DS. The charming hand drawn platform game was pulled out of XBLA because of size limitations, so developers Alten8 Limited opted to go for the Nintendo consoles. The game will even get to have a third dimension in the DS version.

The story of Eternity's Child is based on the imagination of Luc Bernard, who offers us a dark fairy tale of post apocalyptic proportions. It follows the story of a once-winged orphan named Angel who is quite possibly the last of his kind. He travels a world ravaged by ecological disasters and killer robots to search for the rest of his species.

Each frame in the Nintendo Wii version is entirely hand drawn - and beautifully done too - while the Nintendo DS version will be in full 3D. The DS version will not have the same story as the Wii version although it will still be a platformer. Eternity's Child will feature an orchestral soundtrack (promising old-style Disney songs) and the Wii version will have two player co-op mode.
