Professor Layton - Image 1 If you've been hoping to play a Professor Layton game on a much bigger screen -- say, on a Wii -- don't hold your breath. Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino says that the series is sticking to the DS. For the time being, anyway.

Are they gonna slim the Wii down too and call it the Wee Wii? Good grief I sure hope not. Prof. Layton and the Diabolical Box - Image 1Fans of Professor Layton will have another place to visit as Level-5 finally launched the official website for Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box (also known as Prof. Layton and Pandora's Box in Europe). This would be the second installment in the mystery-solving adventure game. And just in time too, cos it's just about to be released in the US and EU.

Professor Layton The First Movie - Image 1While a lot of you (myself most definitely included!) are waiting for the sequel to Professor Layton and the Curious Village, Japan's already gotten the third installment just this week. Level-5 held a press conference this week to celebrate the launch of Professor Layton and the Last Time Travel in Japan. In the same event, they announced the release date for "Professor Layton: The First Movie": January 1, 2010 in Japan, baby! Where's Studio Ghibli when you need them?

I know something else that might get your heart pumping: the full list of exhibitors to be present in this year's gaming event at Tokyo. Knowing the exhibitors at TGS 2008 might give a hint as to what games we can probably expect on the show floor (and knowing what games can, in turn, give us a hint as to what types of boothbabe cosplays we might expect to see too). Professor Layton and the Curious Village downloadable content already up - Image 1Nintendo of America Reggie Fils-Aime announced earlier this month that the Nintendo DS will be getting downloadable content through its Wi-Fi service, a feature that will be prominent in Professor Layton and the Curious Village. He wasn't exaggerating when he singled out the game: not a day has gone by since its release and the game already has downloadable content available from the Wi-Fi service. More in the full article.
