Nintendo of America Reggie Fils-Aime announced earlier this month that the Nintendo DS will be getting downloadable content through its Wi-Fi service, a feature that will be prominent in Professor Layton and the Curious Village. He wasn't exaggerating when he singled out the game: not a day has gone by since its release and the game already has downloadable content available from the Wi-Fi service. We're hoping you guys saved up enough money for this week's releases. There's quite a lot of eye-catchers hitting the shelves and every single major platform out there - PS3, 360, Wii, PC, PSP, and DS - has at least one good title to offer. Those who were able to try out the demo of BioShock can finally dive into the full game. Don't forget to take your daily dose of plasmids when you're there. Meanwhile, GRAW 2 will roll out for the PS3 and PSP as well. Tactical shooting has never been this orgasmic. Handheld gamers get a heavy dose of RPG treatment with the release of Jeanne d'Arc and Dragoneer's Aria for the PSP. Whether you want to go for turn-based or SRPG, we'd still suggest you get both. DS owners get some bite-sized fun with more Brain Age 2 training and Turn It Around - another "mini-game collection" title that'll surely get heads spinning. Let's get ready for the plunge! On Shelves This Week include... BioShock. Take a dive into the not-so-dead underwater city of Rapture as you FPS your way through the horror of Big Daddies and Little Sisters. Hone your skill on controlling the destructive powers of the plasmids to fight for your survival.

A
few days have passed, and it's finally that time of the week again. The
intensity, the excitement, the anticipation... all your frustrations
will finally be over, because here is the latest Famitsu Weekly Most
Wanted list!Halo 3 and Last Remnant continue to receive dwindling votes as both games disappear from the list yet again, opening spots for Super Mario Galaxy, Layton Kyouju to Akuma no Hako, and White Knight Story at 18th-20th places respectively. White Knight Story (Shirokishi Monogatari in Japan) could have slipped past your noses no thanks to Level-5 keeping it in tight wraps. So far, we only know it's a 50-60 hour RPG that features Lenard, a young man that can transform into seven meter mech White Knight to battle extremely huge monsters that will put colossi from PS2 title Shadow of the Colossus to shame. Layton Kyouju to Akuma no Hako is the latest on Level-5's Professor Layton series. Unfortunately, it might not see the light outside Japan like Professor Layton and the Mysterious Village. Super Mario Galaxy, that Mario game of intergalactic scale needs no introduction. The top three are still strong as usual, showing no signs of backing down. Next to them, up to number nine, continue to struggle for domination. Surprising enough, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass zoomed past competition to 10th place from its 17th last week. Rarely do games remain on the list after release, so props go to Link's latest adventure on the DS. Find the list after the jump! |

A lot gamers who have a knack for solving mysteries were bummed to find out that Professor Layton and the Mysterious Village will never reach U.S. shores. And while the game has been out in Japan for more than a month now, we still decided to share with you a hilarious vid which shows how the animal voice acting in the game was done. For those not in the know, Professor Layton and the Mysterious Village is a puzzle/adventure RPG from Level-5 (same folks responsible for Dark Cloud and White Knight Story for PS3) and is hailed by some as a fusion of your traditional videogames and Brain Training. Usually, we'd just bring you guys the video embed but for some reason it's messing up. So to be safe, what we'll do is just give you the link to the vid so you can view it on Game Videos. Just hit the read link below and you're good to go. |
