Since Square Enix's official acquisition of Eidos back in May, there've
been lots of hoping and speculating surrounding the possibility of the
two publishers crossing-over IPs. Here's your answer - in an interview
with Gamasutra, the CEOs of both companies reveal: "It's possible." |

Terminator: Salvation producer Dan Lin has
rights over the next Tomb Raider movie, and from what he says, it's going to be a reboot. Oh don't act all surprised - we heard earlier that the new movie will be getting a fresh start. More details on this though: the way Lin describes it, Lara's new movie - an origins-type of movie - won't be full-on action but will go deeper into the character. Kinda like Dark Knight, perhaps? Well, what ever the case, you can definitely scratch Angelina Jolie from the role - they're looking for someone younger. |

You know what they say: the shoes make the man. Hence, in the same way: the Mario Shoes make the Mario Fan. Well, it's not totally unheard of that fashion statements are born out of video game fandoms. And fashion is just one side of it. Video game merchandise is also a prolific industry, from Final Fantasy toys to Pokemon plush dolls. Accessories can also be based on video game themes, from a Super Mario Galaxy mobile phone cover to a Halo faceplate for your 360. But whether it be fashion, merchandise, or accessory, there is a sense of wonder that makes you think, "Man, why didn't I think of that?" Now consider this: what if someone made Super Metroid Wellington boots? Or how about Lara Croft clip-on ponytails? Earthworm Jim spacesuit, anyone? You got to hand it to the creativity and artistry of these fans. Very impressive! |

As we finally thought we could sleep at night thinking that the "Wassup" fad had finally died, another rendition is flying around the internet. It is at least a little bit humorous though. I can only imagine if Pikachu's voice was really like that. Then out of nowhere BAM! Lara Croft appears to make it even better. True, True. You can watch the video below, thanks to the great and powerful You Tube.

Tomb Raider: Legend, by Eidos, is the DS version of the newest Tomb Raider game that recently hit consoles.
In this game Lara Croft must use her athleticism and wits to explore
vast, treacherous tombs riddled with challenging puzzles and deadly
traps. Experience the beginning of the new Legend in the most
adrenaline fueled Tomb Raider adventure ever. Apparently the DS &
GBA versions will faithfully capture the breadth of the console experience
because all 8 huge levels have been adapted from the original version for
Lara to explore. The game will be a 2D game paradigm with 3D graphics
and will ship sometime in September. Go ahead and check out the
screenshots below by clicking on their thumbnail images below to get a
better look.
