Geometry Wars: Galaxies features an all new mission-based campaign where players face off against waves of alien enemies on new and classic Battle Grids. The game's controls have been optimized for Nintendo systems, allowing gamers to use the Wiimote-Nunchuk controller combo or DS touch screen to execute hotshot moves.

Players will also be able to do battle via hot seat, co-op, simultaneous and versus in multiplayer mode. Those that own both the DS and Wii systems can link the game together using Wi-Fi to unlock bonus content. Players can also post their high scores on the Wii's online leader board.

No specific release date has been given for Geometry Wars: Galaxies yet, but it'll reportedly be out in the fall. We'll keep you guys posted.

Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved will be a part of the Nintendo iterations of the game - Image 1Well it's certainly not a sequel, but for Nintendo fans looking to have a taste of Bizarre Creations' Geometry Wars, it's definitely good news. IGN reports that Geometry Wars will be seeing Nintendo DS and Wii iterations in the near future and will be called Geometry Wars: Galaxies.

According to their report, the latest issue of "Nintendo Power" first revealed the new game to the public. Instead of being a straight-out port, the game will be expanded, having "extensive single-player and multiplayer modes. In addition, the Wii and DS versions will have unique features related to their gameplay nuances, such as touch screen control and motion-sensing.

As an added bonus to Nintendo owners, the original Retro Evolved title will be included in the package as well. Don't that make the wait even sweeter?

Kuju Entertainment, the makers of Battalion Wars, will be taking care of development for the game. In the meantime, be patient. The game will be coming out in the fall, and we'll get you more info as it comes.
