Famitsu.com has broken the news on a new entry in Taito's Estpolis series. If the name doesn't ring a bell, the series was released outside Japan as "Lufia". The new game will be called Estpolis: The Land Cursed by the Gods and will be produced by the original game's development staff. Square Enix will be handling publishing duties.

Almost buried in a deluge of shovelware and games with "Imagine" in the title, Cing's Hotel Dusk: Room 215 was a surprisingly well-written and well-executed adventure game for the DS. If you loved the original, you might want to start praying that this sequel rumor turns out to be true.

The new DSi LL may have a few features that previous models don't, but about the only feature that really sticks out is that it's larger. We've seen portables get smaller and smaller, but here we have a handheld that deliberately put on some extra weight so that granma can get in on the young'uns' toys. 20 years after Nintendo launched the Game Boy, the immensely popular portable gaming device has now been inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame, joining the ranks of an elite list of legendary playthings. An honor well-deserved. Seeking to continue their hardware success, Nintendo has had another busy week, topped off with updates from three of their biggest execs.

It's numbers time again! The latest hardware sales figures from Japan's Media Create has been release, and competition is getting tighter as the PS3 inches closer and closer to the top, needing only about a thousand more units before overtaking the long-reigning DSi.

In the near future, a mysterious, growing, black void dubbed the Schwarzwelt appears at the Earth's southern pole. So begins the story in Atlus' first-person sci-fi RPG, Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey. Next year, DS owners in North America will don their own retro-cool helmets and plunge head-first into that black spot.

The powers and resources of the NPD, Enterbrain, and GfK Chart-Track have all come together and the results are in - Dragon Quest IX dominated the global sales charts spanning over three months ending September of this year. What's more amazing is that the DS-exclusive title has only been released in Japan. See how the others fared.

As if a new Zelda game isn't enough, Nintendo is sweetening the purchase of The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks in Japan with a cool bonus. For those picking this up at Day 1, you'll be getting a neat feather stylus for your Nintendo DS.
