We've picked up on a couple of new scans for Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. The scans are from a Japanese magazine, though not necessarily Famitsu. If you look closely on one of the scans, you'll find that Niko is back. Is that a give-away as to how this adventure will unfold?

Famitsu.com has broken the news on a new entry in Taito's Estpolis series. If the name doesn't ring a bell, the series was released outside Japan as "Lufia". The new game will be called Estpolis: The Land Cursed by the Gods and will be produced by the original game's development staff. Square Enix will be handling publishing duties.

In the near future, a mysterious, growing, black void dubbed the Schwarzwelt appears at the Earth's southern pole. So begins the story in Atlus' first-person sci-fi RPG, Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey. Next year, DS owners in North America will don their own retro-cool helmets and plunge head-first into that black spot.

It's numbers time yet again! Famitsu's come out with their hardware sales charts, albeit a bit late this week. Still on top: DSi. And what's this we see inching closer to the top, a mere 4,000 units shy? It's the PSP with 40,000, just a tad bit below the DSi who has 44,000. The Xbox 360, meanwhile, edges out over PS2 with just 2,000 more units sold.

It appears that Nikkei may have jumped the gun on that new DSi model that we reported about yesterday. According to Nintendo, the Nikkei piece is just "conjecture".

Here's another Pokemon milestone, straight from the Pokemon-loving shores of Japan. In just two little days from release, the latest DS Pokemon installments, HeartGold and SoulSilver, have already fetched over 1.4 million copies sold.

Konami may be making it's Rebirth push into WiiWare, but Hudson isn't gonna let the other block go empty-handed. Japanese gaming news site AndriaSang brings word from the gaming Mecca - Hudson is bringing Bomberman into DSiWare.

Well, Media Create's official Japanese hardware sales are out, and I'd have to say Famitsu pretty much had it down pat with their released estimates from yesterday, give or take a few couple of hundreds. Official numbers after the jump.

Famitsu's estimates on the latest hardware sales figures from Japan puts the previously down-trodden PlayStation 3 Sony console to a nicer spot at the top. That's much nicer.
