While all you Naruto fans are awaiting the commercial launch of Tomy Corporation's and D3Publisher's Naruto: Path of the Ninja on October 27, here's another appetizer to keep you salivating: we recently came across an interesting gameplay trailer on YouTube. While the gameplay trailer was only short enough to tease, it revealed some intriguing things about Path of the Ninja's gameplay mechanics.
For instance, while the layout and the menus seem like standard RPG stuff, what really grabbed our attention was the process by which the player activated Sasuke's Phoenix Power Jutsu. Apparently, the hand seals for the various jutsu in the game are executed by rapidly rubbing the DS' touch screen back and forth, when prompted, in order to fill up a jutsu meter. Don't just take our word for it, though. Check out the actual YouTube trailer for Naruto: Path of the Ninja below. |
