Peter Shea, one of the developers working on Codemaster's Race Driver: Grid, had some pretty strong words directed towards the developers
and publishers of some Nintendo DS games. In a nut shell, he basically
complained about the fact that "many publishers seem to think it's okay to treat a portable title on DS, as if it were a mobile phone game, or a PSOne game." Want to know more? Check out the full article. |

Sega just suffered a big loss, which forced the gaming company to sever 400 employees and implement pay cuts, leaving them open to an acquisition by another gaming company. However, despite the rather unappetizing numbers, Sega is still one of the "juiciest" companies to take over, according to Codemasters' Bruce Everiss. Read the full article to find out why. |

The Independent Game Developers Association (TIGA) has just announced the list of their finalists for the upcoming TIGA awards which is going to happen in London on January 30, 2008. Two new categories were added to the roster list for this year's awards. Finalists that are included can only win through the peer votes of TIGA members. In an interview with Codemasters CEO Rod Cousens, he declared that his company is attractive for companies outside the gaming market. He was able to say so because the company had a good 2007. The successful titles they were by able able to produce the past year include Colin McRae: DIRT (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360), Overlord (PC, Xbox 360) and Clive Barker's Jericho (PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3).
