Nintendo - Image 1Nintendo's sent out the list of their holiday line-up, and it looks like their Christmas goodie bags are bursting at the seams with their holiday offerings - even without those Christmas lights turned on yet. Included in the list are much-awaited titles like Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and a new Castlevania title for WiiWare.

Image courtesy of moon-man.com - Image 1Microsoft Europe's David Gosen has questioned the gaming industry's seasonal approach to game releases in a recent interview with MCV. According to Gosen, the focus on Q4 and Christmas releases has put the sustainability of new IP into question, and that a second or third release window will be good news for the industry. Great news for my wallet as well, since I won't have to buy all the major releases I want in one big go. More after the jump.

DS homebrew - Image 1What happens when Santa gets mistaken for a burglar? It's Snowride. Play as Santa Claus on his sleigh and dodge everything that's thrown your way. Lucky for you, Jolly ol' Saint Nick isn't too saintly in this game, so you can shoot your assailants down. It's a little late for Christmas, but it's never too late to have a homebrew game with a fun twist.

Wii Falling Close to the PS3 - Image 1 A sign that we are closer to the end of the world: Japan seems to be falling out of love with video games. The latest numbers show that sales of consoles have dropped across the board. On the bright side for Sony, the PS3 is close to becoming top dog again since Wii sales experienced a sharp slump.

Nintendo: we're on top of a lot of Christmas lists - Image 1 Here's some wisdom on the economy from Nintendo prez Satoru Iwata: "When the economy is strong, people tend to buy three things from the top of their wish list. But when things are bad, people often buy only the first thing on their list."

So all you have to do is own Nintendo, and you'll have no problem. "Fortunately for us a lot of shoppers put our products at the top of their list."
