Remember all that hoopla last year about the sex scene in Mass Effect (Xbox 360, PC)? That's what happens when clueless critics weigh in on a subject they know less than nothing about. That episode also raised the question of whether or not scenes of a sexual nature have a place in videogames. Here's BioWare co-founder Greg Zeschuk's take on the matter.

Yes, it is possible that in the future, as gaming becomes more mainstream and its audience expands, the appeal of video games will shift from combat thrills to storytelling - a sign that the industry is maturing. Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2: Among Thieves took top honors in the annual Best of E3 Game Critics Awards with the "Best of Show" prize tucked firmly in Nathan Drake's belt. The premise for Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood on the Nintendo DS is quite interesting. The developers from Bioware essentially took Sonic, a poster-boy for platformers, and put him into an RPG. Hey it worked for Mario right?
