Cooking Mama Cook Off - Image 1The cult hit that took the gaming community by a silent storm will be serving seconds. 505 Games, in a collaboration with Cooking Mama Ltd., has announced a sequel to Cooking Mama for both the Nintendo DS and the Wii, slated for a release early next year.

The game will be published for Europe and will (and must!) contain new recipes and challenges. The game will have twice as many mini games and will now feature a multiplayer mode for the DS. The multiplayer mode will pit players' cooking skills against each other in a cook off. It sounds like an Iron Chef version for Cooking Mama (Iron Mama?).

Ian Howe, Managing Director of 505 games says: "Following on from the phenomenal success of Cooking Mama, we're thrilled to be bringing Cooking Mama 2 to Europe. Cooking Mama delivered a truly original IP and Cooking Mama 2 promises to build on its success."

Cookie and Cream - Image 1

Another strange platform adventure comes out for the DS in the form of the deliciously-named Cookie & Cream, published by 505 Games. These two characters, who originally appeared in PlayStation 2's Kuri Kuri Mix, are now raring to go for another adventure on the DS.

This DS exclusive will have players control both of them at the same time. On the top screen, Cookie can breeze through the game using the D-pad and buttons, while Cream can be nudged around on the touch screen with the stylus, and follows commands made through the microphone. Thiscontrol scheme is very similar to another upcoming DS exclusive title, Square-Enix' It's a Wonderful World

In order to solve the mystery of who stole the moon, Cookie will need Cream's help in disabling traps and getting rid of enemies as well as other obstacles. Knowing when to use each of the characters, and mastering their abilities is a must if players want to finish the game.

To be released in September, Cookie & Cream will also feature multiplayer battle modes up to four players as well as cooperative two-player gameplay.

Chart Track UK: all-platform top 10 games, June 2 - Image 1

Taking a gander over at UK's game sales tracker, we've spotted Disney Interactive's Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End taking top spot of the all-platforms chart for the week ending June 2. It has moved from the second spot to first, thanks to taking the top spots across the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PSP charts, while Wii, DS and PS2 gamers found other games more interesting.

Biggest newcomer is Eidos' Tomb Raider: Anniversary which solidly took top spot from nowhere, thanks to a solid fan support from gamers on Sony's PS2 and the Lara fan club on the PC. Activision's Spider-Man 3, formerly on top of the list for a good four weeks, is now dethroned and seated firmly at third spot.

Next Level's Mario Strikers Charged Football still takes a strong solid support from millions of Wii gamers, while taking the fourth spot on the charts. Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 6 still solidly beats EA's FIFA 07, with the former spotted midway up the charts at number five and the latter blocking any other title from unseating it at the number 10 spot.
