Digital downloads seem to be the way of the future, looking at the
current landscape of the gaming industry now. Even analysts say that
retail
will be overtaken by digital distribution
in a mere three years' time.
Nintendo's big boss,
Satoru Iwata, begs to
differ, however. To him, digital distribution will sure be a hit -- but
not till 20 years later.

Nintendo Game Boy. Since its launch in 1989, the Game Boy made its mark in the gaming industry, pioneering a new level in portable gameplay. For its contributions and millions of satisfied users, the Museum of Play has now honored the handheld by including it in its National Toy Hall of Fame.

Despite owing his fortune to his music, DMX has a few bones to pick with the music industry, condensing it all on a profanity-rich rant that lasts nearly two minutes. The rapper believes that the industry is holding out on artists like him, particularly with the CD sales. On that note, he also fires a few rounds at the video game industry for doing the same. It's all on video, and it's in here.

It's numbers time yet again!
Famitsu's come out with their hardware
sales charts, albeit a bit late this week. Still on top: DSi. And
what's this we see inching closer to the top, a mere 4,000 units shy?
It's the PSP with 40,000, just a tad bit below the DSi who has 44,000.
The Xbox 360, meanwhile, edges out over PS2 with just 2,000 more units
sold.

When was the last time you felt scared? Not just my-girl's-gonna-let-me-have-it scared, I'm talking soil-yourself-shamelessly scared. True enough, there might not be a video game out there that'll make you literally crap your pants, and it's far too impractical (and stupid) to find Leatherface to force your dinner down the backdoor. That said, let's just take a look at the things that come close.
