Digital downloads seem to be the way of the future, looking at the current landscape of the gaming industry now. Even analysts say that retail will be overtaken by digital distribution in a mere three years' time. Nintendo's big boss, Satoru Iwata, begs to differ, however. To him, digital distribution will sure be a hit -- but not till 20 years later.

Famitsu hardware sales: October 19-25, 2009

It's numbers time yet again! Famitsu's come out with their hardware sales charts, albeit a bit late this week. Still on top: DSi. And what's this we see inching closer to the top, a mere 4,000 units shy? It's the PSP with 40,000, just a tad bit below the DSi who has 44,000. The Xbox 360, meanwhile, edges out over PS2 with just 2,000 more units sold.

We've got a bunch of mystery games for you this Halloween week, as well as another one from the blood-curdling line of Ubisoft's Imagine titles, this time with Imagine Babyz Fashion. Headlining the line-up though would be Jak & Dexter for the PSP, the multi-platformer Lego Rock Band, and the new Need for Speed offering for handhelds, NFS: Nitro.
