Terminator: Salvation producer Dan Lin has rights over the next Tomb Raider movie, and from what he says, it's going to be a reboot. Oh don't act all surprised - we heard earlier that the new movie will be getting a fresh start. More details on this though: the way Lin describes it, Lara's new movie - an origins-type of movie - won't be full-on action but will go deeper into the character. Kinda like Dark Knight, perhaps? Well, what ever the case, you can definitely scratch Angelina Jolie from the role - they're looking for someone younger.

Everyone loves Ryan Reynolds Deadpool, don't they? The simple fact that he Shoryuken'd Kitty Pride in front of Logan (Snikt me! Snikt me!) wins instant cool points in my book. Here's a bit of treat for all you guys thinking in yellow boxes: a Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 trailer starring none other than the Merc with the Mouth himself. Yeah, fine, there are cameos of the other characters - Captain America, Iron Fist, Hulk - but whoooo caaaaares?! I'd have Deadpool Dragon Punch the lot of them if I had the choice!

Why play as Indiana Jones if you can go racing through jungles and ruins as rogue pilot Han Solo himself? Yes, LucasArts has revealed that Han Solo - or, at least, a costume/skin for Indy - will be crossing over to Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings as a playable character. Looks weird seeing the Star Wars space man swing about with a whip, but hey, at least it's not a Lego Han Solo. Check out the trailer in the full article. Finally. The Potter gang is back (this time with more raging hormones and some erstwhile snogging behind curtains in between classes). After the whole ordeal with the "Harry Potter and the delayed video game" scenario, we get a street date notched in stone. The game was delayed due to the rescheduling of the movie, but now that mid-2009 is here, we can expect the game to finally roll in. What's more is that the game is coming out a few weeks ahead of the movie too!

True enough, Apogee Software's Duke Nukem announcement did come along this week! And do we hear of anything about the status of Duke Nukem Forever? Why, of course not! And what's the big announcement? They're holding auditions for a live-action Duke Nukem model to strut around the country and market Duke's upcoming games!

Aww, and I was so gearing up to see some Ghostbusters PSP action in E3! With a sudden turn of events (and to think it's so last minute, with only three weeks left before the actual event), Atari has announced that they're pulling out from this year's gaming event - and no, it's not really because of Swine Flu concerns.

I'm not sure if hiding your relics in a booby-trapped dungeon was all the rage back in Moses' time, but yeah, sure enough, the story behind Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings involves looking for that sea-parting stick of glory. So 3D Realms has shut down, thus making everyone believe that Duke Nukem Forever's gone back to the hole it once crawled out from. But if Apogee Software COO Terry Nagy is to be taken for consideration, we may here some word about the official status of DNF next week. It's either that or we get hear about the handheld trilogy set to come out for the PSP and DS.

Announced last year, Astro Boy: The Video Game finally finds its home across four confirmed platforms: the Wii, DS, PS2, and PSP. It looks to be a 3D platformer where you can fly around (think Iron Man). Combat allows you to use a bunch of Astro Boy's arsenal - and when I say arsenal, that includes the machine guns that come out of his arse. More info and the movie trailer in the full article.

Capcom has officially revealed its entire lineup of games they'll bring to this year's E3 event. Some of the titles to appear on the show floor are to be expected: Marvel vs Capcom 2, Dark Void, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, a of couple Resident Evil games, etc. But what else is there? Two mystery games, that's what! Time to put our thinking caps on! Could it be a Strider port/remake/all-new game? What about a new Darkstalkers game - that's something we haven't seen for quite some time now... Mega Man Legends, anyone?
