Not too many games go straight to Germany first but the adventure game
Undercover: Operation Wintersun will get a prequel on the Nintendo DS and will come out there first as ANACONDA has announced Undercover: Dual Motives. In the game
players take control of physicist and reluctant spy Dr. John Russell in
his early days, investigating at a British research facility. The first game was a hunt for a Nazi nuclear
bomb in the Second World War so we can only imagine that that might have something to do with the prequel
In addition to John Russell, players have access to a second playable character in Audrey, the secretary of the facility’s director. Both screens of the DS are used, when Russell and Audrey investigate. Working separately, the player is in control of one of them at a time, directing them via the touchscreen and stylus. The other screen displays the currently inactive character, which he can switch over to at any time. The challenge: cleverly use the individual abilities of the two different characters in order to solve the game’s logical puzzles – even if they are in different rooms. Austrian developer Sproing is already hard at work on the handheld adventure Undercover: Dual Motives, and will feature both classic adventure gaming elements for on-the-go, as well as using the unique capabilities of the DS to implement novel ideas. Undercover: Dual Motives will be released worldwide by ANACONDA, starting with German-language territories at the end of March 2007. So until more news becomes available be sure to check out the early screenshots below. |

The newest "real" Pokemon games, Diamond and Pearl, finally came out in Japan this week while us in the U.S. and gamers in Europe will have to try to be as patient as possible since they will have to localize the game in our languages. To help a little bit with that wait IGN has posted a gigantic amount of screenshots from the Pocket Monsters latest outing. The screenshots showcase what the game will look like during most parts of being in game. It also looks as if the touch screen will usually have a little filler screen with a poke ball on it. Enough about the rambling though you came here to check out the new screenshots so go ahead and click on the thumbnails below to see how Pokemon has shaped up with it's recent release. |

Well, it looks like Charlotte's Web
is making a comeback with the upcoming live action remake of the
classic movie. And then there's also the much-anticipated game version
that will be hitting the Nintendo DS at around the same time as the
movie's release.
In the game, Charlotte's Web, players will be sent on sweeping scavenger hunts for letters that make up special phrases. When woven into Charlotte's web, these phrases will let the world know just how special Wilbur is. Interesting, huh? The Nintendo DS version contains numerous extras that maximize the handheld's unique capabilities including stylus support and wireless multiplayer for up to four players. An additional, unlockable mini-game, where gamers can play as Fern and care for Wilbur is also waiting to be discovered. If you can't tell already the game is aimed toward the little ones that will want to see the movie, you can still go ahead and check out the full article to see all the screenshots or check out a few by clicking on the thumbnails below. |
