This is news primarily for fans who cannot afford to wait for Capcom's decision to translate Gyakuten Saiban 3 into a Phoenix Wright DS game. For fans of the game who have the luxury to read Japanese, you might want to visit the blog of Phoenix Wright 4.

Just yesterday, the team behind one of Capcom's best-selling DS franchise has opened up a blog to their Japanese-reading fans. For their first entry, the staff recalls their early days with Gyakuten Saiban for the GBA and how it has come a long way, eventually turning into one of the funniest courtroom dramas on the console.

What is interesting though is that the blog hinted that although the game play is no different compared to previous Phoenix Wright games, the team is still excited to release new law cases and mysteries for everyone. They also want readers to keep watch of their blog because they would also release hints to solve the cases. They've already left questions about the irony in the two new cases in the game. Are we going to be stuck in a big courtroom drama again? Hopefully not, if you get the staff's hints right.

Phoenix Wright 4 is set to be released on April 12, so make sure you keep watch of the blog. It could save you from wasting your objections.

Ema Skye - Image 1Remember that lovely high school girl who helped you through your last case in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney? Well, she's now back in Phoenix Wright 4 as your chemical specialist.

Ema Skye makes a comeback in this other Phoenix Wright title for the DS. She finally fulfills her dream to become a scientific investigator and now helps the new hero of the game solve his case.

According to Famitsu, Ema uses pinpoint accuracy, latest technologies, and appropriate scientific methods in trying to nail down the criminal. Not only is she an important part of the investigation, she also makes a crucial witness in the courtroom. She's your handy CSI girl.

This sassy character will even give you a chance to learn the tricks of the trade. She'll teach you how to conduct her style of investigation, which you might find useful in future cases.

The Famitsu update also gives us a little more about Phoenix Wright 4, the timeline of which happens seven years after Phoenix Wright 3. For your first case, you will be defending Phoenix Wright himself.

Now that the first leg of the holidays is over, Japan takes a look at who is the victor in the console race. As we all know, two new consoles were released this year, but according to OtaRoad, the Wii and the PS3 are nowhere near to selling like hotcakes in Japan. Rather, it's the year-old DS Lite that's raking in the cash.

In one of the stores in Akihabara, it seems that the DS Lite has beaten the PS3 and the Wii. It also seems that the otakus were gunning for the games that came with the DS Lite; for example, many of them who were getting the DS were buying to prepare for the coming of Dragon Quest IX which will be out this month.

Perhaps we have to wait for big titles such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl or even Metal Gear Solid 4 to come out before we see Japan's otakus clamor over the new consoles. But for now, it's the DS Lite that conquered Japanese homes this holiday season.

Phoenix Wright 4 will be released in Japan soon, so the people in Famitsu gave us some buzz on what to expect with the game. We finally have the name of the new attorney, Odoroki. He's fresh out of law school and is trying his best to become an ace attorney. More caps of the first story has been released, however, the best part of this update aren't the screen caps alone, but  a section that will only be available in the limited edition version of the game.

The section can be translated as the Phoenix Wright Encyclopedia, a tool that can come in handy in many cases. It is not an entire law book, but it does have enough tips and tricks that can help you nail that criminal. By looking at all the previous cases that have been tackled in the Phoenix Wright series, you can see what tactic you can use to win the case. Character profiles are also provided in case you want to know more about a criminal's life. Here's hoping this Encyclopedia gets translated to English as well. We wouldn't want to be lost in all the Japanese law jargon.

DQNJPlaying Dragon Quest Monsters-Joker is not a solitary battle. Squeenix is nice enough to let you experience monster hunting with your friends. Unlike most games that leave you only with mini-games, DQMJ allows you and a friend a chance to travel and level up together, probably even catch a monster or few. You can do this through the Wi-Fi server provided for Dragon Quest Monsters- Joker. When you join this server, you can join other monster hunters and you can put yourself in the ranks with these other guys.

However, monster hunting doesn't end when you get your monster. It turns out, you can make your monster stronger by combining monsters with another monsters through the Monster Omiai (Correspondence) Center. It's a little like crossbreeding in a monsterly kind of way.

Now, at the Omiai center, you have to talk to a lady and she will ask you the composition of your monster. Which of your monsters are you going to place in the attack? Will you use a different one for defense or for range? As you have made your decision, she will play geneticist and produce your new monster. You can use this monster for battles in the DQMJ world, or you can also use this for the world ranking battle. Did we say world? Yeah, the DQMJ battle ranking system is open to anybody who can connect to the DS Wifi network and to the DQMJ server. Neat, right?

Well, Phoenix Wright fans, even if you don't have an English copy of Phoenix Wright 2 yet, you could get a chance at downloading a demo of Phoenix Wright 4 at your nearby DS Download Station. Although it's still in Japanese, it wouldn't hurt to see what the newest Phoenix Wright looks like, right? The demo of the game will be released at the same time that Phoenix Wright 2 will be on sale in Japan, which is on the 26th of October.

For this demo, you will already see the new attorney in action and he's defending a criminal that you have tried in Phoenix Wright 2. The case is short, nonetheless, it's enough to give you a glimpse of the game. The download of this game only lasts until November 8, so be sure you go to your nearest DS Download Station before you start on a waiting game again.

We have a little update on the exploits of our little yellow feathered friend within the magical book Bebazu. In this update for Chocobo to Mahou no Ehon, we have a little more knowledge about the characters and the battle system. It seems that for this game, there will be three playable characters. These are Chocobo, Shiroma, and Chromo. The main villain in this game is the evil Bebazu who has been sealed in the book that bears his name.

We all know that a black mage named Chroma drops Bebazu on Chocobo - quite literally. This black mage gathers books from around the world. When he encounters Bebazu, he seals Bebazu's wicked character in a book and drops him off on an island, where Chocobo finds him. When Chocobo opens the book, he gets sucked into the magical world inside Bebazu's pages.

Chocobo won't be travelling this adventure alone. With him is Shiroma, a daughter of a white mage who happens to run a Chocobo farm. Together, it's their objective to find different cards in the book and restore them in order to fully revive Bebazu to his true good form.

The battle system of Chocobo to Mahou no Ehon is a card game. You must choose cards that you have gathered in your battle and then you will use them to defeat some monsters. Don't worry about losing cards as the rewards for each battle are cards as well. But make sure that you use your cards well because, like FF8, some of 'em could be important character cards that can really aid you in battle. Losing them would be a problem. There are other Final Fantasy characters that will be making a cameo in the game. We guess we'd just have to buy the game to find out who they are.

The Tales series takes pride in their ensemble of characters. It may not be as popular as the Final Fantasy series, but it has often left an unforgettable story for those who take a shot in playing the game. Those who are planning to get a version of Tales of the Tempest for the DS will definitely have the chance to play around with these two new characters introduced in the game.

The first character is Albert Mueller, the leader of the Order of the Black Knights. His title contrasts his appearance though, as he's wearing something white all throughout the game. He's one of the top swordsmen in his crew, but isn't really happy with his position.

Another character is Romi, a cleric who accompanied Lukius in the journey. She's quite Machiavellian, doing anything and everything to get what she wants. She also acts independent of Lukius which almost always places Romi in a compromising disposition.

These are just two of many characters you'll definitely find in Namco Bandai's Tales of the Tempest. Make sure to grab the game, if you want to start on a big adventure this winter.

This is an article about InuKami coming to the DS as an electronic novel. Honestly, I wish I knew where to start "InuKami", but just thinking about it is already making my head hurt from laughing so hard.

So what is "InuKami"? Perhaps I could begin with my experience. A friend of mine gave me a list of things I should catch for the spring anime season in Japan. Some were popular manga titles such as "xxxHolic", "Ouran Kokou Host Club", and then there was "InuKami". The name was quite interesting. It was written in hiragana and it could mean as profound as Dog God, or it could also mean Dog Hair. As I have trusted my friend's suggestion, I gave it a shot. And my brain just turned to goo.

"InuKami" is what you may call as a parody anime, an anime that just cracks up every issue in Japan. For "InuKami", the big issue is Japan's ever growing fascination with perversion. And oh boy, have I never seen an anime as funny as Inukami!

Certainly, the DS is no e-book machine. However, they have successfully released short novels for the DS. Is this new book revolution going to change the e-book industry? Combining games with novels might just be the DS ploy to get more kids reading. And what other book could stir the heart of a young boy than that of Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu.

The ero-ge features of the heroines might just sway any boy to grab this DS novel off the shelf. If only he knew that this was merely a typical coming of age story, then he might be half-disappointed. The second of DS Electronic Library Series, Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu is the story a young boy named Naoyuki Asaba who encounters something weird while he was at a swimming practice in school. A silver blob drops in their pool and from it comes a lovely girl named Iriya Kana. This is the story of how Asaba first met Iriya. What came next is a coming of age tale as this alien discovers life on earth, as well as her blossoming emotions for the protagonist.
