Namco has released more screenshots and information on their upcoming DS title, Tales of the Tempest. No Western release date has been announced yet, but it looks like it'll happen. Nintendo localized both Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Phantasia so something tells me that if Namco won't publish it overseas, Nintendo will. This game will have a special bar, kind of like the one in Tales of Symphonia, which will fill up as you fight. When it's filled, you can transform into a beast-form for an extra boost of strength! The beast form of the protagonist was unveiled in an earlier magazine scan. |

A Tales of the Tempest scan from Weekly Jump has come up. It shows something very interesting. A picture of the protagonist in a werewolf form. Ironically enough, this is what I said when it was delayed: "It's like Twilight Princess all over again!" Well, I'll say it again here, "It's like Twilight Princess all over again!" |

There is no doubt about it that the Nintendo DS is a booming handheld system, thats even blowing the consoles out of the waters in sales. Nintendo is doing this by releasing great games for the DS. Unfortunately one of the better looking, upcoming DS titles has been set back. This game is Tales of the Tempest. It was due for June 8th of this year. The new release date is now just 2006. To make up for this devastating blow to the title line up for the DS, Capcom announced the release date for Rockman ZX. The date for Rockman ZX is July 6th in Japan (thankfully the DS is region free), also on this date Brave Story will be released. Also along with new game release dates, we have a few cheaper re-releases. Ganbare Goemon, Castlevania, and Survivial Kids are going to be re-released in Japan June 29th at 2940 yen (roughly $25). |

It looks like one of the most anticipated RPGs for the Nintendo DS will not be seeing a release as soon as hoped. Tales of the Tempest, previously set to be released on June 8th, is now set for a "2006" ship date. This leaves it a six-month window in which to be released. The development staff apologized for the delay stating that they did not feel that they would be able to put out a game with the quality they wanted if it launched on June 8th. It's like Twilight Princess all over again! |

A new video for Tales of the Tempest has surfaced. It is the stunning introduction video to the game. The FMV is much like Tales of Symphonia for the Nintendo Gamecube. It looks absolutely beautiful and it's surprising that the Nintendo DS can run video as smoothly as this. The audio is a J-Pop song as always. And yes, that picture on the left is from the video and re-sized to the size of your DS screen!Download [Tales of the Tempest Intro Video] |

Not many details are known yet, except that via Wi-Fi, two to four players can undertake missions exclusively designed for the multiplayer mode. Tales of the Tempest, to be released in Japan on June 8, revolves around Caius Qualls, a 15-year-old boy. He decides to leave his home village in search of his parents and to explore his past. The game will feature 40 hours of play in a fully realized 3D environment, a vast number of locations to travel to, as well as an innovative combat system, something the Tales series is highly regarded for. |

Namco has announced that the DS game "Tales of The Tempest" has been officially delayed from April 13 to June 8. The price is still 5,040 JPY. The reason of this delay is for meeting the needs of the customers better and improving the quality of the game. The current schedule is inadequate for such changes, thus leading to the delay. As the latest title of the series, this game is also the first title that designed for the console.
