After the popular game Nintendogs, which sold more than 2 million copies in Europe, Nintendo will be releasing Nintendogs Dalmation & Friends. NoE's official website has no release date but if you go to GAME.com they have the sequel game up as a pre-order for sometime this year for 29.99 GBP or $53.33 USD. There have been rumors that it might be released as early as June 16 th in Europe but there is no word of a worldwide release yet. In the existing versions of Nintendogs the Dalmatian dog is a rarity hidden away waiting to be unlocked. You have to play with Mr. Miyamoto's dalmation in order to take home a dalmation puppy. Nintendogs was such a big success in the UK that they are touring the country with the Nintendogs Bark Mode Celebration which started April 14 th to May 14 th 2006. Fans will be able to let their puppies play with each other via Nintendo DS built in wireless connection. They will also be able to test brand new games like Tetris DS, Super Princess Peach and Pokemon Link. |

Develop Magazine released their list of Top 100 Developers according to the 2005 sales of their games in the United Kingdom. Nintendo placed 5th in the list, a move up from 28th the year before. The Nintendo DS and Nintendogs were noted as the largest reasons why."It’s a measure of the success of DS in the UK (as everywhere else) that Nintendo managed to jump 23 places this year. An amazing 79 percent of its revenue came from DS software, with the port of trusty old Super Mario 64 being the single biggest seller. But in true Pok?n-style, it was the three Nintendogs releases which really gained Nintendo places - over £6 million ($10 million) in a mere three months while Mario Kart DS and Wario Ware Touched! also performed well." The company that took #1 was EA Canada who developed FIFA and Need For Speed which became mega-hits in the UK. EA Canada was #1 the year before as well. Click "Read" for the full Top 100. |

According
to GamePro magazine, those cute cuddly Nintendogs aren't worth sh*t.
Nintendogs was voted the 'Worst Game of 2005' by GamePro readers via
mail-in form. This is a surprising blow to Nintendogs fans everywhere. GamePro commented in the magazine that Nintendogs "is one of those titles for gamers that falls into two camps - they either love it or hate it." It seems as if the haters were victorious this time, but proud Nintendog owners will have their revenge. The list was followed by Tekken 5, the second worst game of 2005, and finally 50 Cent: Bulletproof, the third worst game of 2005. Left Photo: Not so fast, Fido. You suck. |

It looks as though Sega is riding the coat tails of Nintendo with their soon to be released title, Ocha Inuno Heya (Ocha Inuno meaning Tea Dog). The game looks alot like Nintendo's Nintendogs using big headed and bright colored puppies that you can touch and interacted with. It is set to be released next month in Japan. Check out the picture and decide for yourself.

Yuke?s Media Creations (WWE titles, Rumble Roses XX) is currently hard at work on a new project for the PSP, The Dog Happy Life. The screen shots show that you can take photos of your dog, select accessories and change the items of the house. Looking very much like the DS's Nintendogs, minus of course the touchscreen abbilities. If this game wants any chance of success over Nintendogs then the developers better take advantage of the PSP functions, such as allowing you to download new accessories off the internet and let you listen to music off the memory stick in your home.[Via, britishgaming] |

Source: DSavenue Just last week, Nintendo reported that it had sold over one million copies of Nintendo DS Nintendogs. Now it's nearly impossible to find a store in the UK that has Nintendogs.
If you live in the UK, you're going to have trouble finding Nintendogs for the Nintendo DS video game system. Nearly all units are sold-out, retailers are also reporting low stock or not enough. And just like anything else that is in low inventory, eBay users are setting up auctions to deliver the Nintendogs for a hefty price. People are searching for the Nintendo DS bundled box sets, there's even a few postings online. After scanning a few online retailers, both the Nintendogs DS Blue and Pink have sold out but others have limited stocks. Some retailers are also expecting another batch of Nintendogs next week, however, there are no guarantees that anyone will receive it by Christmas. It's also the same story with Amazon currently estimating four to six weeks for delivery but making no promises for the 25th. |
