Looking for a cool fighting game to hit the Nintendo DS soon? Naruto: Ninja Destiny (Naruto: Shinobi Retsuden) looks like a good pick. It has some of the best fighting game graphics on the platform along with the trademark Naruto universe brand of action. A video interview from the GDC that shows the game off while the one of the devs talk about it awaits after the jump!

Tomy and D3Publisher of America have just announced that they will be releasing Naruto: Ninja Destiny for the Nintendo DS this month.

For this title, players will have the chance to battle it out with characters from the famous anime franchise. Check out the details after the jump!

The first ever 3D Naruto title on the Nintendo DS, Naruto: Ninja Destiny, is coming to North America thanks to publishers D3Publisher of America and Tomy Corporation. Intense dual screen action is waiting, and you can know more about it by heading over to the full article.

When was your last time in an anime convention? In fact, when was your last time in any kind of convention? And, no, the annual convention for the Girl Scout Cookie Club doesn't count. Come November, some of you Naruto fans will have a chance to participate in GA Viz Media's Naruto mall tour.

In the national tour that's set to sweep U.S., fans will be able to catch sneak-peeks of new episodes of the series and participate in other events such as a Chakra Challenge where you could "learn special moves and techniques with an instructor". More than that, they can battle it out in the Naruto games by Namco Bandai and D3Publisher - Naruto: Clash of Ninja 2 and Naruto: Ultimate Ninja (both for the PS2).

Notch your calendars, people! Free your Saturdays. These events all start from 12 noon to 7 p.m.

• November 4: Cumberland Mall, Atlanta, GA
• November 11: Mall of America, Bloomington, MN
• November 18: Lakeline Mall, Cedar Park, TX

While the event is still scheduled for November, Viz Media is planning to extend the tour with more mall visits next year. Y'know, what that means. By that time, they just might have demos for their upcoming games in the franchise. We wouldn't mind going out of our way to check out the new Naruto games for the Wii, 360, and DS. Otherwise, we might fall to temptation and attend the Girl Scout Cookie Club convention instead.

We just can’t get enough of Naruto, can we? Well Jump is making another game for Naruto fans, this time providing a graphically impressive arena and design.  The name of the game is Naruto Shinobu Retsuden. In English, it would mean Naruto, the Ninja Line of Tradition. From the looks of the screens, it’s another versus game. However, unlike most of the cell-shaded Naruto games that have been released in the market, this game is giving our Kotonoha ninjas a pretty render.

 

Famitsu runs down 6 characters that will be playable in the game. These are Naruto, Sasuke, Neji, Kakashi, Sakura, and Rock Lee. There will definitely be more characters available for play, but until the next update, let’s just oggle over Sasuke beating the crap out of Naruto.

After the rumors and after having relied on scans to determined if this game will push through or not, Naruto: Shinobi Retsuden for DS has finally been confirmed at the current Tokyo Game Show and is now definitely a go. A short footage that was taken at the event shows the trailer for the game which also contains some interesting gameplay demos.

Featuring our favorite Naruto characters rendered in 3D, this game that is being published by Takara TOMY is due for release by winter of this year.

A few days ago, a rumor of an upcoming Naruto title is heading for the DS had surfaced. Unfortunately, the entry didn't give out a title or gameplay info, but it did mention that  the game would include a 3D grapple system. The rumor was further discussed in a follow-up article, which also claims that Naruto: Shinobi Retsuden will not only be gracing DS screens but also, the Nintendo Wii.

It seems the rumor has been laid to rest as Japanese magazine, V-Jump, featured scans of Naruto: Shinobi Retsuden that will be published by Takara TOMY. What really made us excited is the fact that Naruto: Shinobi Retsuden is the first 3D fighting game on the DS. As such, the game will utilize the dual screens and touch screen system in some way. The gameplay appears to look similar to the Naruto: Clash of Ninja series of fighting games on the GameCube.

Naruto: Shinobi Retsuden is currently scheduled to be released in winter, but we'll keep our eyes peeled for the official announcement. In the meantime, check out these scans:
