Wonder what happened to the DS and PSP versions of N+? Previous reports had the game tagged to be released last month, but it seems the game has been delayed for the handhelds. The game is now expected to be released this July 8. More in the full article. |

The upcoming platform ninja game from Metanet, N+, will be making its way to the Xbox 360 Live Arcade, Nintendo DS, and PlayStation Portable. It gets kind of confusing since all versions have the same name. But you can bet all three versions aren't as identical as the name. Read the full article to find out the differences between the three versions. |

It looks like European gamers will be getting their hands on N+, the handheld version of MetaNet's popular Flash game N, after all.According to an admin post on the MetaNet website, N+ will indeed be released in Europe. This comes after an earlier report - which was apparently wrong - that the handheld game would only be coming to the U.S. MetaNet says that the game will be released in Europe, the U.S. and, of course, Canada. N+ is currently being developed for the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP handheld systems. The remake will include new features such as cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes and level sharing over the ad-hoc PSP system and wireless Nintendo DS connections. Oh, and the ninja doesn't have a name. That was a gaffe on this blogger's part. Thanks to the people who pointed it out. |

Metanet Software, the creator of the flash game N, has come up with a unique way to drum up interest for the coming handheld and Xbox Live versions of its upgraded game, known as N+. It has started SUBLiME: the Submit Unique and Brilliant Levels in to Metanet Event, a level design contest that allows winners a chance to be featured in the final build of the game, as well as get free swag from the developers. To join the contest, you have to download special versions of the N level editor to make console-specific versions of game levels and then create custom levels for the one you want to join. They'll only be accepting five entries per applicant though, so you might as well pick a handheld whose level creation you want to get credit for and send in your best work. In any case, you should probably take a look at the read link for more details. Remember: the contest ends on June 18 at 10:00 P.M. EST, so get to work! |

Last March, we reported on the flash game N being ported to the handhelds - DS and PSP. Now we've got some new info about the cult hit now called N+.Atari and SilverBirch are set to join forces in this platformer-slash-action-slash-puzzle game, adding to it some cool features like a level editor, downloadable content, and multiplayer. Stephen Baer, senior global product manager at Atari had this to say:
N+ takes all the great elements of the flash game, from the amazing acrobatics to the simple-but-fast gameplay, and adds an impressive set of new features. With full support for wireless multiplayer, cartridge sharing ability, downloadable content and community leader boards, gamers will be able to settle, once and for all, who is the greatest ninja. New game modes were also added like the co-op and competitive multiplayer. Players can also customize their levels - using the stylus and the touchscreen on the DS - and share them with friends over ad-hoc (PlayStation Portable) and WiFi (DS). Plus the downloadable content is a sure-fire way to keep players coming back for more. We'll keep you posted on more info about N+, we're sure you're the all curious as to how the level editor will work with the PSP. News as they happen, so stay tuned. |

Atari and SilverBirch have joined forces to take one computer game to the next level. All 500 levels of it, in fact. A new version of the flash based puzzler-slash-action game N will be developed by the two
companies for the Sony PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS, and Microsoft's Xbox Live. The game, now known by the name N+, is a puzzle-action game where players have to control a ninja who has 90 seconds to get out of a room filled with traps and puzzles to survive. The only problem is, he's always moving into another trap infested room. Poor guy. Still, it does give you some perfect opportunities to get your game on. With over a million downloads of the PC version, expect the video game to make waves in its new homes. In the meantime, you'll have to wait, as the game's targeted release date will be sometime in this fall. |
