With Megaman ZX
out since last year and definitely enjoying its much earned success,
it's good to get information about the next installment in the annual
tradition that is Megaman.
Cubedł managed to snag an interview with Takeshi Horinouchi, Line
Producer for the Megaman series. As the line producer, he takes charge
of coordinating the schedules of different departments working on the Megaman games. Horinouchi gave juicy info about making Megaman DS games, possible future Wii Mega Man titles, and more.Horinouchi revealed that the development process for Megaman ZX took about 20 months, with Capcom crossing hurdles such as integrating the DS' touch screen feature into the game. The development team, however, decided on keeping the control scheme as-is, using the D-pad and buttons. The few touchscreen elements that made it into the game received less-than-positive reviews, he said. But so far Horinouchi is pleased with how Megaman ZX fared, though he thinks that it may have sold better if it had been released a bit later, not last year while the Nintendo DS was "still rapidly expanding in the market." Go on and read what else Horinouchi said about the latest Megaman installment, another Megaman ZX sequel, and Capcom's plans on a Nintendo Wii version of the video game - all at the Full Article. |

Bring out the bosses! We've got two new videos for you that feature impressive boss battles for Capcom's Megaman ZX Advent.
In these two videos, you'll get to see the new Mega Men taking on a
fire-using deer pseudoroid and an electric-based plant pseudoroid in
explosive battles.
Who are these weird enemies again? Well, in our first video, you'll get to square off against Deerburn Buckfire, an agile gazelle-type who uses flame attacks to defeat our heroes. After taking him down, however, you'll be able to pick up his abilities, which include a powerful flying kick attack that destroys obstacles. In the second video, you'll be using your newfound abilities in an effort to take down Rospark the Floweroid, a flower-type electric pseudoroid who'd like nothing more than to electrocute you. Needless to say, taking him down nets you some electric power of your own. In any case, make sure you watch these videos carefully. They'll give you a better idea of how to deal with the bosses once the game comes out. Enjoy! The battle with Rospark after the jump! |

We haven't really heard much about Capcom's Mega Man ZX Advent, but we have a fairly good bet that it'll be as good as its predecessor. Don't let the title fool you though, Advent is no mere add-on. Boss transformations, new characters - this is something Mega Man fans can't miss.
To further prove our point, we've got a gameplay montage video to boot. Both of the characters Grey and Ashe get the spotlight as they blast their way through enemy ranks in a hectic fashion the series is known for. Before that, there are several fully animated movies mixed with normal cutscenes that you'd want to feast your eyes on. Check it out and see what we're talking about. |

Suddenly, Capcom's Megaman ZX Advent for the Nintendo DS screenshots! Thousands of them! Well, not really thousands, but it's quite a lot, and gives us quite a good idea on what the gameplay would be like. It seems that the video game's still as frantic and unforgiving as ever, as you can see from the obviously one-sided boss fights. And speaking of bosses, it looks like you not only get the ability or weapon of the boss you've taken down, but their actual forms. Granted, our resident Japanese translator's not in at the moment, but if these screenshots are anything to go by, it's safe to assume it offers yet another twist to the Megaman series' trademark weapon system. ...I'll go back to ogling the cute Leviathan-ish girl now. More screenshots after the jump! |

The world of Megaman ZX Advent is set on a world where hunters try to seek the lost technology of the old war, said to be buried in the mountain of treasures. Gray and Ashe try to seek these treasures in their adventure; Ashe with the help of technology from hunter guild with which she belongs. We would not want to spoil the whole story to you, though, but here are interesting screen shots from the game. |

How time flies when you're having fun. And while some of us are still going through our nth play-through of Capcom's Megaman ZX, it seems that Japan will be ahead of us (again) this 2007 with Rockman ZX Advent (also known as Mega Man ZX Advent). We have just picked up a couple of Famitsu scans regarding this title, and they deal with early game screens and character art.
For starters, players will once again choose between a male or female character, named Grey (male, 14) and Ashe (female, 15). Delving into their specific story lines, Grey has just awoken from a deep sleep, while Ashe is a hunter tasked with finding the Model A Biometal. We're not sure if it's just us, but the new armor design seems to take its cue from Megaman X's Axle - the dual gun rig probably gave it away, as did the "A" initial for the Biometal. We don't have any details on the plot for the moment, although ZX's enigmatic Prometheus and Pandora will be making an appearance in this game, which just adds even more to the intrigue - who are they working for, really? For now, consider this a teaser of what's to come, and pray that Capcom graces us with a US release. |
