Mario Party DS official website - Image 1

Let's face it - Mario Party games are fun, even more when you're in an actual party playing it. But how about taking the party out of the living room and on the road? It used to be a pipe dream (that's a plumber joke, I say, that's a joke about plumbers), but now it's reality with Nintendo's Mario Party DS for the Nintendo DS, with the game making its appearance on the interwebs with its brand-spanking new official website.

As usual, the website's all about Mario and his crew, and it's fittingly cheerful and bright. There's two sections to click through, with the first illustrating the game's storyline with gameplay screenshots, and the other showing off the multiplayer features. From what we could glean, Bowser has the mustached plumber and his friends shrunk down to minute sizes, and they have to win in order to get back to normal.

In any case, Mario Party DS is certainly a great addition to the Dual Screen's library - here's hoping for the game to have Wi-Fi capability, for those of us who want to take the party online. Updates as we get them, and you can check out the site itself via the Read link below.

Mario Party DS scan from Famitsu - Image 1If you've been itching to poke your nose into our favorite plumber's party on the Nintendo DS, here are some relieving screenshots and a scan from Famitsu of Mario Party DS. Like us, you'll get a pretty good idea what to expect from Nintendo's long-running series of party games on the handheld.

Minigames that are sure to gobble up your time include football, air gliding, boat riding, a plethora of puzzle games, and more. By the looks of it, and considering what Mario Party games have been like since the first one back in 1999, all game modes have multiplayer. Whether you're in the mood to take the skating rink or serve food, the experience simply won't be the same without pals by your side.

Another mario Party DS scan from before revealed the Nintendo Wi-fi Connection attached to the game, but we are yet to receive any confirmations. Our two cents are on wireless online multiplayer though, and we're sure yours are too. Instead of speculating, after you're done with the scan attached, let's just ogle at the screens below.

Sin and Punishment - Image 1Aside from Endless Ocean, it appears Australia's Wii owners are about to get more game-lovin' in the near future. The country's Office of Film & Literature Classification (OFLC) has just rated Treasure Co. Ltd's Sin and Punishment for the Virtual Console.

This title, originally developed for the Nintendo 64 back in the year 2000, was previously announced to be available on Japan's VC for 1,000 Wii points.

The OLFC has also rated a couple of Wii titles as well, in the guise of Battalion Wars II, and Dragon Blade. DS owners will also be happy to know that Mario Party DS, Naruto Ninja Council, and Gradius 3 have been rated for their handheld.

That's all for the moment - check back in case we pick up more details for any other scheduled Aussie releases.

Mario Party DS has WiFi! - Image 1

There are never enough Wi-Fi games on the DS. That being said, a new tidbit from Daily Nintendo has got us quite excited,  as there seems to be another great addition to the growing list of games that's coming out with the Wi-Fi option enabled: Mario Party DS.

Daily Nintendo just posted a scan of the latest Nintendo's 2007 catalog, and occupying one full page is Mario Party DS. The thing that we noticed on the scan? The cute blue "Wi-Fi Connection" logo.

For Nintendo DS owners who still don't have a wireless internet connection or a Wi-Fi dongle, this may be the cue to buy one now. We'll let you know more as soon as we get more info. Until then, sit tight.
