Feed me!I'd have to say that Garfield is a personal favorite of mine. Off the top of my head, I can give five things we have in common: we both hate Mondays, we both love lasagna, we both love sleeping, we're both lazy, and we're both sarcastic. But fortunately for me, the similarities end there. After all, I don't think I'd enjoy much jumping through rooftops in search of floating burgers all day long. Like what you'll see here in the gameplay videos.

Yup, we have here two videos that will give us a sneak-peek into Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties. The first video is entitled Rowr, while the other one's Meow. Is there a story behind the titles? Well, those are the sounds that cats make, so we guess that's sufficient explanation why the videos are titled as such.

Anyway, in Rowr, you'd find Garfield running and jumping about fire exits and sides of buildings, jumping from one to the next by hanging onto bedsheets being hung out to dry. The goal is to feed him. How typically Garfield. So, there are floating golden burgers, which are sure to get this cat craving for more. Apart from those, there are also bed mattresses, which he can jump on like a trampoline to get him to a high spot.

The Meow video, meanwhile, also shows this tangerine feline leaping across building roofs, but this time, there are planks available for him to slide down. And while it's been said that cats have nine lives, you would want to be careful, 'cause it sure is a long way down if he falls. Too bad they didn't show if he'd actually land on his feet.

Anyhow, you can download the videos right here. Oh, and by the way, you have to give this cat some credit. He seems, after all, to be in a pretty good shape, being agile and all. We're sure he did John Arbuckle proud.

garfieldThe lazy, overweight, cynical, and lasagna-loving feline is back. Game Factory just announced that it will release its new title, Garfield 2, across the PlayStation 2, PC, and Nintendo DS platforms. Based on the upcoming movie Garfield 2, the sequel to the first Garfield Movie, the title will allow gamers of all ages to interact and play through some of the most exciting scenes of the movie.

In the game, Garfield has managed to take a trip to London by hiding in Jon's (his owner) luggage. Players are then tasked to help Garfield overcome obstacles and finish exciting missions while fighting opponents, solving puzzles, and participating in racing and flying challenges, plus there would be fun tempo missions wherein the players would have to listen to music and help Garfield dance to the rhythm.

The concept of the game will be the same for PS2, PC, and Ninty DS. But the difference is that the game takes full advantage of the newest Nintendo DS abilities such as the dual screen and the microphone. Game play is a mix of fun platform activities, puzzles, challenges and mazes. Players can enjoy the game through Garfield’s "eyes" by using the First Person View, or even compete in Timed Mode to beat their own or record level time. No date for its release is announced, but if you're looking for some wholesome gaming, give the Garfield game a try.

If you can't beat the announcements of Square and Sony, the least you can do is announce something undeniably cute that someone might notice. That's what Game Factory had in mind when they announced their line up of games for the third and fourth quarter of the year.

For Games Factory, its all about the games for the little critters. So they've got a couple of cartoon friends for the young ones to play with. For the Nintendo DS, they are releasing Cartoon Network Racing, Code Lyoko, Garfield 2, Strawberry Shortcake Strawberry Land Games and Strawberry Shortcake Adventures in the Land of Dreams. For the PSP, they will have Legend of the Dragon.

The basic premise of these games is to take the players into the world of the cartoons. The gameplays of the games are quite menial and nothing entirely spectacular, nonetheless, they are still fun to play with, especially on those long road trips. They're there to remind you how loony and fun these characters are.

Cartoon Network Racing lets you race Blossom and Johnny Bravo down Dexter's Lab. Code Lyoko will let you solve some puzzles in Lyoko's World. Garfield will dance around in London. While Strawberry Shortcake has tons of mini-games in store.

On the other hand, their PSP title, Legend of the Dragon, is a Western game trying to be an Asian game. Taking cell-shaded animation as its graphic appeal, you try to battle it out against people who are out to get the seal of the temple. It's your typical fighting game meshed with a bit of Chinese Zodiac spirituality.

Games Factory's lineup looks promising but their titles might not be strong enough for the giants. Then again, their games might just appeal to a child who wants play a carefree game. Nonetheless, the titles look wacky enough to help you through a boring day. Well, isn't that what a game is all about?
