Final Fantasy Tactics A2: The Sealed Grimoire cameos - Image 1 Final Fantasy Tactics A2: The Sealed Grimoire cameos - Image 2

It's character cameo time once more, and it's for the upcoming Nintendo DS title from Square Enix, Final Fantasy Tactics A2: The Sealed Grimoire. Just like how Cloud made a brief appearance in the original Final Fantasy Tactics, Al-Cid and Montblanc of Final Fantasy XII fame will also be in the game's DS sequel, in a manner befitting their personalities. Sweet!

Al-Cid, the lady-killer from Rozarria, makes his comeback in Final Fantasy Tactics A2: The Sealed Grimoire as a playable character in a Special Agent class all of his own. What's neat about this is that his class lets him protect female characters exclusively, through the use of the Escort command. A very nice trick, if you're one to make sure that none of the female characters in your party gets damaged.

Montblanc, one of the six Moogle siblings and founder of Clan Centurio, also gets his airtime in the game, except he's not going to be joining your cause anytime soon. Rather, he could be one of the obstacles, as he seems to be less accommodating about the fate of the Clan's base, Rabanastre. Sibling rivalry between moogles - never a good thing.

With all these cameos, the sequel to one of the video game industry's greatest SRPGs is looking more and more epic. Here's hoping for more of these updates to coming rolling in.

Most Nintendo DS owners looking for some tactical RPG fun on their handheld are anticipating the release of Square Enix's Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2: The Sealed Grimoire. Aside from revamped visuals, the video game also features a lot of additions to the gameplay.

Siliconera user Patrick K. sent in two scans of a pair of job classes exclusive for the Gria and Seeq tribes. The Gria will get the arrow specialist Hunter class while the Seeq will receive the trap-toting Ranger. The scans above of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2: The Sealed Grimoire will show you what we mean.

So far, there isn't exactly a great deal of other details regarding the skills of these two jobs, but we do know that the ranger has a handy Stun Needle which he can use to stop enemies cold, while the Hunter shoots multiple arrows upward to scoot above barriers and give enemies some piercing death from above. We'll update you for more news on Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2: The Sealed Grimoire.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Seeq and Gria gets some class - Image 1Last time we got to show you two new tribes - the Seeq and the Gria - in Final Fantasy Tactics A2: The Sealed Grimoire. That little tidbit however, only gave sparse information on what they are and what they look like, still teasing us by only providing silhouettes to keep us guessing on what job classes are available to them.

In this update we are treated to the job classes available to both races. The Gria (the half dragon, half human race) will have the Raptor class. Their Shield Bash ability can knock enemies a panel backwards.

For a bit of demented fun. You can also push them off cliffs. They also have the Mind and Power Crash skills that can weaken stats. Sounds like the original Final Fantasy Tactic's Knight class with a Tackle ability.

The Seeq tribe will get the Lanista class. For a little quick trivia, a Lanista is a gladiator trainer or manager. Like the Shield Bash command, they can Assault enemies to knock them back a square. They can also sacrifice HP to increase their chances of a getting a critical hit.

Both the Seeq and Gria races will also get the Bastard class. Yes, you read that right the first time. Feel free to insert "bastard jokes" here. Both classes will make use of the overly huge Bastard sword. The Gria will get a power boost and the Seeq will be able to break weapons (also another original Knight class ability).

Seeq and Gria - Image 1

The two new tribes on the DS's Final Fantasy Tactics A2: The Sealed Grimoire are now finally revealed: one is Final Fantasy XII's Seeq race (so that's why they looked familiar) and an all-new race, which is the half-dragon, half-human Gria.

While the identity of the last two races are now revealed, we are still kept in the dark about what jobs will be available for each of them. However, Square Enix put out some teasers in the form of silhouettes (which you can see in the background of the image), so everyone can feel free to throw in some wild guesses.

More updates to come!

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: The Sealed Grimoire and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII scan - Image 1 Those who want to get more images of their much-awaited Final Fantasy games are in luck: Shonen Jump just released some new images for two upcoming Final Fantasy titles.

First off is a quite large image of Zack Fair, protagonist of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. There are some quite telling screenshots of to the side of Zack's profile image, but even though we couldn't read Japanese we do know that the images look sweet, and the game most probably wouldn't disappoint its fans.

Next, just below the Crisis Core splash, are some images from Final Fantasy A2: the Sealed Grimoire. It looks like the characters shown here are the last two tribes that will be included in the game. If we aren't mistaken, that red-headed kid on the left looks like an Egul, a tribe from Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings.

It's a hard fact that we just can't get enough of the Final Fantasy franchise. More updates to come!

FFXII's Vaan and Penelo in Final Fantasy Tactics A2 - Image 1A quite revealing scan from Japanese magazine Shonen Jump announces Vaan and Penelo's inclusion in the upcoming Final Fantasy strategy game, Final Fantasy Tactics A2: The Sealed Grimoire.

A small screenshot embedded in the scan also reveals that the two lead characters from PS2's Final Fantasy XII will be playable and not only hanging around as supporting characters.

With Vaan and Penelo taking the spotlight in yet another DS Final Fantasy title, Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings, their being in FFA2 is quite a nifty Easter egg, much like Cloud being playable in the first Final Fantasy Tactics game. Not to mention a smart marketing move as well.

All things considered, we really can't wait for the release of Final Fantasy Advance 2, which will be out in Japan this coming October 25. More updates as they come!
